Aciphex Cough Causes and Reviews

Coughing is a reflex that keeps your throat and airways clear. Although it can be annoying, Coughing helps your body heal or protect itself. Coughs can be either acute or chronic. Acute Coughs begin suddenly and usually last no more than 2 to 3 weeks. Acute Coughs are the kind you most often get with a cold, flu, or acute bronchitis. Chronic Coughs last longer than 2 to 3 weeks. Causes of chronic Cough include

  • Chronic bronchitis
  • Asthma
  • Allergies
  • COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
  • GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease)
  • Smoking
  • Throat disorders, such as croup in young children
  • Some medicines

Water can help ease your Cough - whether you drink it or add it to the air with a steamy shower or vaporizer. If you have a cold or the flu, antihistamines may work better than non-prescription Cough medicines. Children under four should not have Cough medicine. For children over four, use caution and read labels carefully.

Aciphex Cough Reviews

Tue, 19 May 2009
I am a 28 year old female who was diagnosed 3 years ago with a hiatal hernia, 9 stomach ulcers and constant gastritis. They put me on Aciphex. I have been on it ever since as it is the only thing that stops the pain. Just recently (within the past year... I developed vitamin deficiencies. First... Iron deficiency anemia. I was treated with iron pills three times a day and my iron finally became normal. I have been off iron for 2 months and I am deficient again!! I started devleoping extreme fatigue, pins and needles, and muscle aches. They sent me to a rheumatologist thinking I had fibromylagia. After a series of test...the discovered my vitamin D was at a 1 and the deficiency caused osteomalacia (a softening of bones)I now have to take vitamin D for three months. But I am afraid that this is going to keep happening. The elvels will go up but then drop again. I used to run five miles a day and be very active. I can no longer do the things I like to do. I am still taking the Aciphex as the pain of the ulcers is still in the back of my mind. I don't want to go through that again. But I dont want these deficieny's either. I just want to be healthy.
