Sun, 19 Feb 2012

My 7 years, 6 months old son complained of stomach aches and I took him to hospital. 1/2 tablet of Amoxksiklav 625 mg was prescribed for him EVERY 12 HOURS among other drugs like buscapan and paracetamol. Each time he takes the Amoksiklav along with other drugs, he vomits otherwise he is ok with the other drugs. I just administered the drug minutes ego and he immediately recognized the taste of this drug and vomited again. Other than a dryness of his lip and occasional habit of clearing his throat, he did not complain of any infection outside his stomach. Should I discontinue giving him this drug?
