Baclofen Withdrawal Syndrome Causes and Reviews
Delirium is a condition that features rapidly changing mental states. It causes confusion and changes in behavior. Besides falling in and out of consciousness, there may be problems with
- Attention and awareness
- Thinking and memory
- Emotion
- Muscle control
- Sleeping and waking
Causes of delirium include medications, poisoning, serious illnesses or infections, and severe pain. It can also be part of some mental illnesses or dementia.
Delirium and dementia have similar symptoms, so it can be hard to tell them apart. They can also occur together. Delirium starts suddenly and can cause hallucinations. The symptoms may get better or worse, and can last for hours or weeks. On the other hand, dementia develops slowly and does not cause hallucinations. The symptoms are stable, and may last for months or years.
Delirium tremens is a serious type of alcohol withdrawal syndrome. It usually happens to people who stop drinking after years of alcohol abuse.
People with delirium often, though not always, make a full recovery after their underlying illness is treated.

I too had a nasty bite from Baclofen.I had a craving for alcohol and was on 10 mg TID.I took 90mg at once. within one hour I feel like i was on shrooms! Very vivid CEVs(closed eyed visuals) and some ope eyed visuals(OEVs).Actually I enjoyed this. But there was moments of short anxiety. It was over in 6 hours maybe 8.I feel Baclofen has abuse potentials is some people and should be scheduled. It has a wide range of side effect and can be addictive. Kids use it for tripping or sedation.Baclofen is related to GHB and Phenethylamies(eg.Mecaline,2c-type drugs).Very dangerous in excess esp when starting it and for some withwardwal effects too. Be careful with it.Not suitable for alchoholics with history of Hallucinogen ause-like me. Im off this med now. |

Can a DR, pharmacist(who knows what they're talking about) or patient, please tell me what the best most effective generic brand of Baclofen is. I've been on it for a yr+ via Walgreens CVS I've ONLY had access to Northstar, Teva I think 1x the Upsher-Smith brand. I've usually been getting 20mgx90 this mth I got 10mgx180 got Teva, I know that Watson, Qualitest, Mylan, Caraco, Lannett, Matrix make generic Baclofen too. I have to think 1 of them. probably Watson or Lannett, makes a superior product. I know not all generics are equal nor as effective. For ex...I'm also on Valium- Mylan makes the WORST diazepam ever, while Teva is ok Watson is by far the best. Thank you! I just want my Baclofen to be the most effective. |
