Bystolic Heart Rate Decreased Causes and Reviews

An arrhythmia is a problem with the rate or rhythm of your heartbeat. It means that your heart beats too quickly, too slowly, or with an irregular pattern. When the heart beats faster than normal, it is called tachycardia. When the heart beats too slowly, it is called bradycardia. The most common type of arrhythmia is atrial fibrillation, which causes an irregular and fast heart beat.

Many factors can affect your heart's rhythm, such as having had a heart attack, smoking, congenital heart defects, and stress. Some substances or medicines may also cause arrhythmias.

Symptoms of arrhythmias include

  • Fast or slow heart beat
  • Skipping beats
  • Lightheadedness or dizziness
  • Chest pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sweating

Your doctor can run tests to find out if you have an arrhythmia. Treatment to restore a normal heart rhythm may include medicines, an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) or pacemaker, or sometimes surgery.

Bystolic Heart Rate Decreased Reviews

Thu, 15 Mar 2012

I switched from Metropolol which was making me very sleepy and depressed.  Bystolic does this far less and controls my heart rate very well.  (where metropolol has to be twice a day and rollercoasters toward the end of the day, Bystolic for me keeps it more even. I started with 5 MG, had bad headache, switched to 2.5, still at 80 (had been more like 70). I do NOT suffer from high blood pressure, which most people who take this do

Mon, 04 Jun 2012

On Bystolic for about 3 weeks. Having blurred vision and tingling in my hands, feel like they go to sleep all the time. Got to get off this drug.

Mon, 09 Apr 2012

I was on Bystolic 5mg twice daily for 4 weeks.  It caused very severe migraines 24/7.  My Cardiologist reduced it to 2.5 mg twice daily. No relief from the migrianes.  After 3 months he took me off the medication.  I was off the medication for 3 weeks.  The migrianes never went away.  I have them every day 24/7.  I was started on Propranolol to help with the migrianes.  It did nothing for the migrianes but made me very sick.  Does anyone have information that can help me ?

For me, Bystolic = Olestra. Loose, even uncontrollable stools is a side-effect that I won't 'live with'.  IMO, this drug is not ready for primetime, and I'll switch to something proven -- and far less expensive.

Sun, 14 Nov 2010

I have been on Bystolic 5mg for 2 years and have muscle and joint pain that has progessively gotten worse. I also experience stiffness and weakness in my arms and leggs. I have mentioned this to my Doctor but he does not feel that the Bystolic is responsible.

I just started 3mg 4 days ago.....My bp has went from 160/111 to around 125/78 and my heart rate has went down to normal as well....I feive el alot calmer than I did......I am also experiencing the tinnitus as well......I'm not sure if it's the med or not......I read all of these negative things about it, but so far, I personally think it's a wonderful drug.....I am concerned with the fact that some have said do not stop taking it suddenly bc of risk of a heart attack.......My anxiety is always high, and it has seemed to lower that too.....BUT I am starting to get a slight backache.............maybe it's not related to the med......overall, I think it's a great drug....... =-X

I was on Bystolic 5mg for 5 weeks. After week 1, I noticed I had a decreased sensitivity during sex. Basically we could have sex for what felt like forever with no orgasm. I can only recall 2 or 3 orgasms during the 5 weeks and they were very dull when compared to previous experiences (before Bystolic). I talked to my doctor yesterday and had Bystolic removed and replaced with a different medication. I hope it works better... and without this depressing side effect.

64 years old. Good health, high BP extreme tension stress from work. Started lisinopril didn't lower BP, changed to Bystolic 10mg, lowered BP quickly, Constantly tired feeling, vey dizzy mostly in the morning constant coughing up mucus, lungs clear but cough sounds like I am sick. Everyone says on forums it doesn't cause cough but it's the only drug I take and started when I started Bystolic. I do have Sinus issues and use nasal spray, used it long time with no cough. Lowering BP naturally, will stop this pill soon. Look into eating Aloe Vera, it fixes many blood ad diabetes problems. Doctors will always try giving you any drugs to correct a problem you made yourself by eating posioned food and laying around. :-D

Sun, 01 Apr 2012

Over the last 3 years I have been on and off of Bystolic. Funny thing is that every time I was on it my periods stopped.....then when I was off of it, they started on a normal schedule again. Has anyone else had this problem? Between that and the weight gain......I'm done with Bystolic. Not a good drug for me.

Wed, 03 Mar 2010

I have been on 20mg of Bystolic for about 3 months and I have problems reaching an orgasm, i have been slightly depressed, I have gained weight, it makes me tired, i'm not motivated to do anything and loose bowel movements. I havent experienced any of the numbness or twitching.
