Celebrex Cerebrovascular Accident Causes and Reviews

A stroke is a medical emergency. There are two types - ischemic and hemorrhagic. Ischemic stroke is the most common type. It is usually caused by a blood clot that blocks or plugs a blood vessel in the brain. This keeps blood from flowing to the brain. Within minutes, brain cells begin to die. Another cause is stenosis, or narrowing of the artery. This can happen because of atherosclerosis, a disease in which plaque builds up inside your arteries. Transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) occur when the blood supply to the brain is interrupted briefly. Having a TIA can mean you are at risk for having a more serious stroke.

Symptoms of stroke are

  • Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg (especially on one side of the body)
  • Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding speech
  • Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
  • Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
  • Sudden severe headache with no known cause

It is important to treat strokes as quickly as possible. Blood thinners may be used to stop a stroke while it is happening by quickly dissolving the blood clot. Post-stroke rehabilitation can help people overcome disabilities caused by stroke damage.

Celebrex Cerebrovascular Accident Reviews

Wed, 25 Apr 2012

I was taking Celebrex for carpal tunnel years ago, but was taken off by a dermatoligist due to a severe scarlet-fever like rash over both my legs, which was also hot and very itchy.

Wed, 29 Jun 2011

When taking Celebrex during late afternoon or evening I experience mild radiating pain in both shoulders, shortness of breath, and a feeling of being anxious when I lay down to go to sleep.
Even when I elevate my head and shoulders with a pillow this continues.

Wed, 24 Feb 2010
Neuropathy in feet.
Mon, 29 Mar 2010

Sat, 22 May 2010
I am a 38yr old female from Australia. Treated with Celebrex for Plantar Fasciitis. After drug was administered, I experienced coughing up blood. Dosage 200mg x 1/per day
Sat, 19 Feb 2011
When I took it my right eye became blurred.
Thu, 12 May 2011
I was taking Mobic for Osteoarthritis in both knees, I am a nurse and by the end of the day I have a great deal of pain from walking all day. My doctor prescribed Celebrex in the hopes it would help, after 1 week on Celebrex I did not have any additional relief of discomfort, in fact I had additional body aches especially my lower legs and I became extremely cranky. At first I just blamed all the symptoms on the arthritis but after I had two episodes of ringing in my ears I put it all together. I returned to my previous prescription of mobic and after only 36 hours of no Celebrex I feel 100% better. Clearly Celebrex is not for me, I was so cranky I couldn't stand myself.
