This case suggests a potential Cipralex (escitralopram) Convulsion side effect(s) that can have serious consequences. A 48-year-old female patient from DENMARK (weight:NA) was diagnosed with the following health condition(s): vertigo and used Cipralex (escitralopram) (dosage: 10 Mg Qd Po) starting Aug 17, 2006. Soon after starting Cipralex (escitralopram) the patient began experiencing various side effects, including:
  • Convulsion
  • Respiratory Disorder
  • Speech Disorder
  • Swelling Face
  • Swollen Tongue
Drugs used concurrently:NA. Although Cipralex (escitralopram) demonstrated significant improvements in a number of clinically relevant cases, troublesome symptoms, such as Convulsion, may still occur.

This Dizziness problem was reported by a health professional from NORWAY. A 56-year-old female patient (weight: NA) was diagnosed with the following medical condition(s): depression.On Apr 01, 2005 a consumer started treatment with Cipralex (escitalopram) (dosage: 5 Mg Qd Po). The following health products were being taken at the same time: NA. When commencing Cipralex (escitalopram), the patient experienced the following unwanted symptoms /side effects:
  • Deafness
  • Dizziness
  • Influenza
  • Meniere's Disease
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting

A case of a 33-year-old female patient (weight: NA) from SWITZERLAND was presented. The patient developed the following symptoms/conditions: NA and was treated with Cipralex (dosage: NA) starting Feb 14, 2011. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Dalmadorm (750 Mgs Total)
  • Temesta
  • Dalmadorm
  • Lisinopril (350 Mgs Total)
  • Seroquel
  • Soon after that, the subject experienced the following of symptoms:
    • Loss Of Consciousness
    • Rhabdomyolysis
    • Diabetic Complication
    • Vomiting
    • Mydriasis
    • Tachycardia
    • Metabolic Acidosis
    • Hyperthermia
    • Intentional Overdose
    The patient was hospitalized. This opens a possibility that Cipralex could cause Loss Of Consciousness and that some female subjects may be more susceptible.

Cipralex (escitalopram) dosage: 10 Mg Qd Po. The patient was hospitalized and became disabled.
