Concerta Off Label Use Causes and Reviews

Normally, your cells grow and die in a controlled way. Cancer cells keep growing without control. Chemotherapy is drug therapy for cancer. It works by killing the cancer cells, stopping them from spreading, or slowing their growth. However, it can also harm healthy cells, which causes side effects.

You may have a lot of side effects, some, or none at all. It depends on the type and amount of chemotherapy you get and how your body reacts. Some common side effects are fatigue, nausea, vomiting, pain, and hair loss. There are ways to prevent or control some side effects. Talk with your health care provider about how to manage them. Healthy cells usually recover after chemotherapy is over, so most side effects gradually go away.

Your treatment plan will depend on the cancer type, the chemotherapy drugs used, the treatment goal, and how your body responds. Chemotherapy may be given alone or with other treatments. You may get treatment every day, every week, or every month. You may have breaks between treatments so that your body has a chance to build new healthy cells. You might take the drugs by mouth, in a shot, as a cream, or intravenously (by IV).

Concerta Off Label Use Reviews

Fri, 15 Jul 2011

I took ONE dose-----my head, face and ears itched. My face became all blotchy and swelled up. The skin on my forehead and cheeks started to peel, as if I had a sunburn. $40 I spent to take one pill----which was nothing but POISON. Don't use Concerta!

You put your kid on amphetamines when he was 6? Wow dude, that's horribly inappropriate. A lot of kids who show even strong signs of ADHD grow out of it. I didn't start using Concerta till just a few days ago, and I'm 19. I wish I had this through highschool to be honest, but I'm glad I didn't have to take it as a child. It's good you are letting him stop using it though. There shouldn't be any withdrawal effects as far as I know.

It should be o.k, he's probably experiencing fatigue as a drawback from being off Concerta. Concerta can cause imsomnia (the loss of sleep), but given enough time he should recover. If there are more severe symptons he experiences such as pain then going to the doctors would probably be recommended.

My son was wheezing with physical complaints of bronchospasm for 60 minutes after gym class ended. He has never had wheezing before this, is 16 years old and has been on Concerta (36 mg/day sustained release) for 2 months. I am notifying the physician today.
