Concerta Tic Causes and Reviews

Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is a type of chronic pain that affects your face. It causes extreme, sudden burning or shock-like pain. It usually affects one side of the face. Any vibration on your face, even from talking, can set it off. The condition may come and go, disappearing for days or even months. But the longer you have it, the less often it goes away.

TN usually affects people over 50, especially women. The cause is probably a blood vessel pressing on the trigeminal nerve, one of the largest nerves in the head. Tumors and multiple sclerosis can also cause TN, but in some cases the cause is unknown.

There is no single test to diagnose TN. It can be hard to diagnose, since many other conditions can cause facial pain. Treatment options include medicines, surgery, and complementary techniques.

Concerta Tic Reviews

Thu, 28 Jan 2010
My son has recently been diagnosed with ADHD after a rather skepTical Conners Scale review, and his pediatrician now recommends Concerta. I am horrified by the side effects of this medication and even more suspicious of the arbitrary manner in which this diagnosis was reached. I can't imagine that a drug with such debilitating side effects can be routinely prescribed without a more detailed analysis of the issues confronting the child such as diet, etc. My wife and I desperately seek help as we are not inclined to give our 9-yr old son this medicine and risk his mental and physical weel-being for the mere convenience of his teacher and the improvement of a 3rd grade report card.

My Seven year old son has been on Concerta for almost a month. I have noTiced him being more emotional than ever, tonight he cried for 30 minutes because he didnt want to go to bed. His excuse was that "he had really bad dreams" My concern is that he is having hallucinations. How do I differentiate his "nightmares" to hallucinations? Should I take him off this medication?
