Reboxetine Medical Research Studies

Up-to-date List of Reboxetine Medical Research Studies

What Research is Being Done?

A clinical study involves research using human volunteers (also called participants) that is intended to add to medical knowledge. There are two main types of clinical studies: clinical trials (also called interventional studies) and observational studies. Following list includes both interventional and observational studies.

Condition: Schizophrenia
Interventions: Drug: Reboxetine;   Drug: citalopram (SSRI)
Outcome Measures: The primary efficacy end-point will be the change in the score of the PANSS negative subscale from baseline to follow-up assessment.;   Secondary efficacy endpoints will be the change in the scores of the total PANSS and all the other clinical, social and neuropsychological scales from baseline to follow-up evaluation.

Interventions: Drug: SSRI monotherapy;   Drug: Seroquel XR adjunctive
Outcome Measures: Change from baseline in HDRS scale;   Change from baseline in CGI, BDI, and YMRS scales
7 Recruiting What is the Antidepressant Mechanism of Action of Quetiapine in Bipolar Depression?
Condition: Bipolar Depression
Intervention: Procedure: Dietary amino-acid depletion
Outcome Measures: To determine if a given depletion treatment induces relapse, measured as the mean HAM-D 17-item score of each group. A HAM-D score of 12 points or higher will be defined as relapse, measured 24-, 48- and 96-hours post-depletion.;   Maximum change between each VAS item; change in HAM-D score; correlation of change in plasma tryptophan and catecholamine levels; correlation of change in plasma amino acid levels from baseline to 24 hours post-depletion.

These studies may lead to new treatments and are adding insight into Reboxetine etiology and treatment.

A major focus of Reboxetine research is the development of new drugs and other treatment options. Studies seek to identify new drugs to treat various related disorders and to find safer, more effective doses for medications already being used. Other research is aimed at identifying receptors or drug targets.
