The following Dopamine Cerebrovascular Accident side effect reports were submitted by healthcare professionals and consumers.

This information will help you understand how side effects, such as Cerebrovascular Accident, can occur, and what you can do about them.

A side effect could appear soon after you start Dopamine or it might take time to develop.

Injury, Pain, Unevaluable Event, Diabetes Mellitus, Renal Failure, Cerebrovascular Accident

This Cerebrovascular Accident side effect was reported by a health professional from UNITED STATES. A 61-year-old patient (weight:NA) experienced the following symptoms/conditions: NA. The patient was prescribed Dopamine Hcl (dosage: 5.8 Units/min), which was started on Mar 25, 2002. Concurrently used drugs:

  • Cerebrovascular Accident
The patient was hospitalized. These side effects may potentially be related to Dopamine Hcl.
Anhedonia, Stress, Fear, Renal Impairment, Renal Injury, Emotional Distress, Cerebrovascular Accident, Unevaluable Event

This Cerebrovascular Accident Dopamine Hcl side effect was reported by a health professional from UNITED STATES on Oct 01, 2008. A male , 53 years of age, weighting 244.7 lb, was treated with Dopamine Hcl. The patient presented the following health conditions:
  • Anhedonia
  • Stress
  • Fear
  • Renal Impairment
  • Renal Injury
  • Emotional Distress
  • Cerebrovascular Accident
  • Unevaluable Event
. Dopamine Hcl dosage: Unk. Additional drugs used at the same time:
  • Red Blood Cells (2 U, Once)
  • Trasylol (No Documentation That Trasylol Was)
  • Acetylsalicylic Acid Srt (325 Mg, Qd)
  • Clonidine (Unk)
  • Heparin (Unk)
  • Lasix (10 Mg/hour Then Increased To 20 Mg/hour)
  • Acetylcysteine (600 Mg Initial Dose)
  • Lipitor (10 Mg, Qd)
Depression, Emotional Distress, Injury, Renal Failure, Unevaluable Event, Cerebrovascular Accident, Fear, Anxiety

This is a Dopamine side effect report of a 78-year-old female patient (weight:NA) from UNITED STATES, suffering from the following symptoms/conditions: NA, who was treated with Dopamine (dosage:Titrated, start time: Oct 02, 2005), combined with:
  • Amiodarone (200 Mg, Preoperative)
  • Fentanyl (2.5 Mg, Unk)
  • Pancuronium Bromide (10 Mg, Unk)

  • Ancef (1 G, Unk)
  • Albumin (human) (100 Ml, Prime/cardiopulmonary Bypass)
  • Amiodarone (150 Mg, Unk)
, and developed a serious reaction and a Cerebrovascular Accident side effect. The patient presented with:
  • Depression
  • Emotional Distress
  • Injury
  • Renal Failure
  • Unevaluable Event
  • Cerebrovascular Accident
  • Fear
  • Anxiety
which developed after the beginning of treatment. This side effect report can indicate a possible existence of increased vulnerability to Dopamine treatment in female patients suffering from NA, resulting in Cerebrovascular Accident.

Injury, Unevaluable Event, Renal Impairment, Renal Failure, Pain, Myocardial Infarction, Coronary Artery Disease, Multi-organ Failure, Cerebrovascular Accident

A patient (weight: NA) from UNITED STATES with the following symptoms: NA started Dopamine Hcl treatment (dosage: 400mg/250ml ;23 Ml) on Nov 04, 2006. Soon after starting Dopamine Hcl treatment, the consumer experienced several side effects, including:
  • Injury
  • Unevaluable Event
  • Renal Impairment

  • Pain
  • Myocardial Infarction
  • Coronary Artery Disease
  • Multi-organ Failure
  • Cerebrovascular Accident
. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Platelets
  • Nitroglycerin (50mg/250ml;4ml)
  • Vasopressin [vasopressin] (100u/250ml ;140ml)

Dopamine Cerebrovascular Accident Causes and Reviews

A stroke is a medical emergency. There are two types - ischemic and hemorrhagic. Ischemic stroke is the most common type. It is usually caused by a blood clot that blocks or plugs a blood vessel in the brain. This keeps blood from flowing to the brain. Within minutes, brain cells begin to die. Another cause is stenosis, or narrowing of the artery. This can happen because of atherosclerosis, a disease in which plaque builds up inside your arteries. Transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) occur when the blood supply to the brain is interrupted briefly. Having a TIA can mean you are at risk for having a more serious stroke.

Symptoms of stroke are

  • Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg (especially on one side of the body)
  • Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding speech
  • Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
  • Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
  • Sudden severe headache with no known cause

It is important to treat strokes as quickly as possible. Blood thinners may be used to stop a stroke while it is happening by quickly dissolving the blood clot. Post-stroke rehabilitation can help people overcome disabilities caused by stroke damage.
