I have been taking this drug for the treatment of sickle cell anaemia. The main reason I was started on it was to aleviate the anaemia and weakness as I don’t really get other symptoms except constant fatigue. I was started on 5mg and dosage was slowly increased to 15mg in the course of 2 years. My Hb increased from 65 t0 79 in this time and Hbf from 5%-12% . I still feel weak and tired. And actually feel like my weakness has increased. I started getting stomach aches ,dizziness, My feet swell and I have leg ulcers. I do want to improve my anaemia but wonder if the drug is it for me. Are there other Hb and HbF inducers i could take? How much research has been done on resveratrol? Could it help?
