This case suggests a potential Levaxin Blood Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Increased side effect(s) that can have serious consequences. A 61-year-old female patient from NORWAY (weight:NA) was diagnosed with the following health condition(s): hypothyroidism,gastrointestinal stromal tumour and used Levaxin (dosage: NA) starting Oct 24, 2006. Soon after starting Levaxin the patient began experiencing various side effects, including:
  • Blood Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Increased
  • Feeling Cold
  • Haemoglobin Decreased
  • Hypothyroidism
Drugs used concurrently:
  • Gleevec (400 Mg/day)
  • Although Levaxin demonstrated significant improvements in a number of clinically relevant cases, troublesome symptoms, such as Blood Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Increased, may still occur.

    This Haemoglobin Decreased problem was reported by a physician from NORWAY. A 61-year-old female patient (weight: NA) was diagnosed with the following medical condition(s): hypothyroidism,gastrointestinal stromal tumour.On Oct 24, 2006 a consumer started treatment with Levaxin (dosage: NA). The following health products were being taken at the same time:
  • Gleevec (400 Mg/day)
  • When commencing Levaxin, the patient experienced the following unwanted symptoms /side effects:

    • Feeling Cold
    • Haemoglobin Decreased

  • Gleevec (400 Mg/day)
  • Soon after that, the subject experienced the following of symptoms:
    • Blood Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Increased
    • Feeling Cold
    • Haemoglobin Decreased
    • Hypothyroidism
    This opens a possibility that Levaxin could cause Hypothyroidism and that some female subjects may be more susceptible.

    on Jan 12, 2006 a male from SWEDEN , child 12 years of age, was treated with Levaxin. Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Levaxin side effects: bleeding time prolonged, injury, subdural haematoma. Levaxin dosage: 0.05 Mg, Qd.
    Associated medications used:
    • Sandimmune (50 Mg/day)
    • Prednisolone (10 Mg Every Second Day)
    • Geavir (400 Mg/day)
    • Eusaprim Forte (6 Mg Trim./30 Mg Sulf/kg 2 Days Per Wk)
    • Gleevec (400 Mg/day)
    • Gleevec (600 Mg/day)
    The patient was hospitalized.
