My Doctor told me I would have to take
Lisinopril for the rest of ny life once I started taking it, cause it will keep my kidneys open and protect my kidneys from diabetes.
So I never took it or the metformin.
I just changed my lifestyle and exercise daily and take vitamin D, cod liver oil and flaxseed oil, multivitamin daily and get blood work done every 3 months.
So far Iam fine.

Creatnine and BUN counts as well as hemoglobin counts are out of normal range. Kidneys not working properly after taking this drug for 3 months 20mg daily. Stopped taking 12 days ago but counts have not yet gone back to normal. Will never use this again.

How long does the drug stay in your system after stopping it??

I am on Lisinopril for years now and I have a cough that comes, and stays for months and then it will clear up for a few months then back again. I also have a severe itchy throat, with the cough and then when I cough my head off my eyes water like no tomorrow, then the nasal congestion comes. Has anyone else had these side effects? I would like to know because I think the Lisinopril is causing these problems.

Got the dry cough, about 3 times a day, 5 minutes at a time. Does it cause longer for bruises to heal? Does seem to work good on BP. Worried about other things that may crop up. Mark
