Lisinopril Swelling Face Causes and Reviews

Your salivary glands are in your mouth. You have three pairs of major salivary glands and hundreds of small (minor) glands. They make saliva (spit) and empty it into your mouth through openings called ducts. Saliva makes your food moist, which helps you chew and swallow. It helps you digest your food. It also cleans your mouth and contains antibodies that can kill germs.

Problems with salivary glands can cause them to become irritated and swollen. You may have symptoms such as

  • A bad taste in your mouth
  • Difficulty opening your mouth
  • Dry mouth
  • Pain in your face or mouth
  • Swelling of your face or neck

Causes of salivary gland problems include infections, obstruction, or cancer. Problems can also be due to other disorders, such as mumps or Sjogren's syndrome.

My Doctor told me I would have to take
Lisinopril for the rest of ny life once I started taking it, cause it will keep my kidneys open and protect my kidneys from diabetes.
So I never took it or the metformin.
I just changed my lifestyle and exercise daily and take vitamin D, cod liver oil and flaxseed oil, multivitamin daily and get blood work done every 3 months.
So far Iam fine.

Creatnine and BUN counts as well as hemoglobin counts are out of normal range. Kidneys not working properly after taking this drug for 3 months 20mg daily.  Stopped taking 12 days ago but counts have not yet gone back to normal. Will never use this again.

How long does the drug stay in your system after stopping it??

I am on Lisinopril for years now and I have a cough that comes, and stays for months and then it will clear up for a few months then back again. I also have a severe itchy throat, with the cough and then when I cough my head off my eyes water like no tomorrow, then the nasal congestion comes. Has anyone else had these side effects?
