A 54-year-old female patient from GERMANY (weight:NA) was diagnosed with the following health condition(s): essential thrombocythaemia and used Litalir (dosage: NA) starting Mar 01, 2005. Soon after starting Litalir the patient began experiencing various side effects, including:
  • Polyneuropathy
Drugs used concurrently:NA. Although Litalir demonstrated significant improvements in a number of clinically relevant cases, troublesome symptoms, such as Polyneuropathy, may still occur.

Location: GERMANY , 59 years of age, weighting 158.7 lb, Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Litalir side effects: bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, malignant neoplasm progression.
Associated medications used:
  • Gleevec

Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis, Malignant Neoplasm Progression

This Malignant Neoplasm Progression problem was reported by a consumer or non-health professional from GERMANY. A 59-year-old patient (weight: NA) was diagnosed with the following medical condition(s): glioblastoma multiforme.On Apr 12, 2006 a consumer started treatment with Litalir (dosage: NA). The following health products were being taken at the same time:
  • Gleevec
  • When commencing Litalir, the patient experienced the following unwanted symptoms /side effects:
    • Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis
    • Malignant Neoplasm Progression
    The patient was hospitalized. Although all health products are carefully tested before they are licensed for use, they carry potential side effect risks. Some side effects, such as Malignant Neoplasm Progression, may become evident only after a product is in use by the general population.

    Menopausal Symptoms, Night Sweats, Insomnia, Stress, Fatigue, Off Label Use

    A case of a 51-year-old female patient (weight: NA) from DE was presented. The patient developed the following symptoms/conditions: polycythaemia and was treated with Litalir (dosage: Capsule) starting NS. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Remifemin
  • Opipramol
  • Soon after that, the subject experienced the following of symptoms:
    • Menopausal Symptoms
    • Night Sweats
    • Insomnia
    • Stress
    • Fatigue
    • Off Label Use
    This opens a possibility that Litalir could cause Off Label Use and that some female subjects may be more susceptible.

Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Litalir side effects: menopausal symptoms, night sweats, insomnia, stress, fatigue, off label use. Litalir dosage: Capsule.

    • Remifemin
    • Opipramol
