Lyrica Fall Reviews

Sun, 17 Aug 2008
I just increased my Lyrica to 150 a day (50 mg x 3) from 50 mg. I was on 50 mg for a week. I feel terrible. I feel like I am 100 years old. If I Fall asleep my back hurts so badly when I wake up. I put heat on it and it helps me start feeling normal. Yesterday, day 1 at the new dose and dose 2 and 3 that day, my feet started itching about two hours after taking the Lyrica. The itching settled down after I put some cortisol cream. I am really not that sure that it is really worth the trouble.

I had started on Lyrica for RSD reflex sympathetic dystrophy to help with pain control in feet and legs. For the first many months it did work, I did find relief as I had been on its sister medicne Neurotin for quite a while. Also for pain relief but did not like how many neurotin I had to take daily. Then...came Lyrica. Doc said its the new and improved neurotin. This way I could take much less. For months it did work to a good extent. Then all of a sudden WHAM!!! I had tremors, just as I would Fall asleep something *neuro* was happening. Jerks, tremmors..etc. I stopped taking Lyrica immediately and it all cleared up. Did Lyrica damage something? Would anyone...ever...tell me the truth about exactly what happened? Thanks!~ Leslie Charlotte, NC

I've been taking Lyrica for several years for diabetic neuropathy and have been so grateful for at least occassional relief from the pain that I have just had to "live with" the side effects: depression/suicidal thoughts weight gain dizziness - loss of balance sleepiness memory loss The last two side effects are taking a toll on me in terms of threatening my job! I Fall asleep at my desk, and it's a real problem! Also I find that some days it doesn't seem to be working at all.... the pain is unrelenting and just as if I had missed a dose. Anyone else have that problem? Is there anyone to go to for answers? Thank you.
