Pharmacist from UNITED STATES reported CIDOFOVIR problem on July 26, 2006. Male patient, 75 years of age, weighting 158.3 lb, was diagnosed with cytomegalovirus infection and was treated with CIDOFOVIR. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: asthenia, body temperature increased, dizziness, gait disturbance, headache, mental status changes, speech disorder, urinary incontinence, visual disturbance. CIDOFOVIR dosage: 225 MG -3MG/KG- ONE TIME INJ. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
