FLOLAN side effect was reported on 2001-02-01
Patient reported the following FLOLAN side effects:"Infection and blood clot in central line. The blood clot extended from the upper tip of my heart all the way into my neck. I had flu-like symptoms of the infection for almost 6 months, but no infection on the central line site. I finally just went to the hospital and after a few days they figured it out. I was not taking a therapeutic dose of coumadin at the time which may have contributed to the blood clot. I stopped taking the flolan and I take nothing for pulmonary hypertension now even though it is severe, but I have Eisenmenger\'s which is pulmonary hypertension caused by a congential heart defect. The flolan never lowered my pulmonary pressures which were over 100 (by cardiac cath) before, during and after. Also the flolan gave me brain fog and constant migraines."Read more

Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES reported Flolan side effect on Feb 23, 2007. Male patient, 62 years of age, weighting 194.0 lb, was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension
and was treated with Flolan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: catheter related complication. Flolan dosage: unknown. Flolan side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Feb 28, 2007. Male patient, weighting 7.05 lb, was diagnosed with persistent foetal circulation, sedation, hypotonia, patent ductus arteriosus, hypothyroidism and was treated with Flolan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradycardia, oxygen saturation decreased, pneumothorax, pulmonary haemorrhage. Flolan dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VIAGRA, DORMICUM, MORPHINE, THYRADIN. Patient died on 10/26/2006.
