Health Professional from UNITED STATES reported FOSCAVIR problem on Aug 26, 2008. Male patient, 58 years of age, was diagnosed with cytomegalovirus enterocolitis, cytomegalovirus antigen positive, cytomegalovirus viraemia and was treated with FOSCAVIR. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: cytomegalovirus antigen positive, glaucoma , hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia, renal impairment, uveitis. FOSCAVIR dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 59 years of age, was diagnosed with cytomegalovirus infection , oedema, bacterial infection , fungal infection  and was treated with FOSCAVIR. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: stevens-johnson syndrome. FOSCAVIR dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LASIX, PANSPORIN, FUNGUARD, COTRIM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: c-reactive protein increased, pancytopenia. FOSCAVIR dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with COMBIVIR, KALETRA, VALGANCICLOVIR, EPZICOM, FUNGIZONE. Patient died on 04/14/2007.

During the same period patient was treated with ZITHROMAX, COTRIM, NORVASC. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: blood creatinine increased, renal tubular disorder, retinal detachment, visual acuity reduced. FOSCAVIR dosage: 250 ML WAS ADMINISTERED AT NIGHT ON 15-JUL.. Patient recovered.
