Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN reported MERCAZOLE problem on Oct 20, 2006. Female patient, 41 years of age, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, reflux oesophagitis, diabetes mellitus insulin-dependent, depression and was treated with MERCAZOLE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: hypoaesthesia, hypoglycaemia, memory impairment, paralysis flaccid, somnolence. MERCAZOLE dosage: 5 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAL, NOVORAPID CHU PENFILL, LANTUS, ETIZOLAM, ROHYPNOL, HALCION, LUVOX, TETRAMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
