Pharmacist from UNITED STATES reported NEOPROFEN problem on June 04, 2008. Male patient, weighting 1.43 lb, was diagnosed with patent ductus arteriosus repair and was treated with NEOPROFEN. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: anuria, aspiration, blood creatinine decreased, ileal perforation, intestinal perforation, meconium increased, skin discolouration, urine output decreased, waist circumference increased. NEOPROFEN dosage: 10MG/KG X 1 042; 5MG/KG Q24HRS X 2 DOSES 042. Patient died on 04/23/2008.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: abdominal abscess, bacteraemia, blood potassium increased, bradycardia neonatal, cardiac arrest , condition aggravated, gastrointestinal anastomotic leak, haemorrhage neonatal, intestinal perforation. NEOPROFEN dosage: 7 MG; QD; IV, 3.5 MG; QD; IV. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN, INSULIN, PHYTONADIONE, VITAMIN A, CEFOTAXIME, FLUCONAZOLE. Patient died on 02/13/2008.
