Nitrofurantoin Side Effects Report #5398589-1Physician from UNITED STATES reported NITROFURANTOIN problem on July 13, 2007. Male patient, 68 years of age, weighting 244.9 lb, was diagnosed with cystitis and was treated with NITROFURANTOIN. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: blood glucose increased, coagulopathy, deep vein thrombosis, pancreatic carcinoma, pulmonary embolism. NITROFURANTOIN dosage: 100 MG, BID, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with METOPROLOL TARTRATE, BENAZEPRIL, BUSPIRONE, ACTOS, EXELON, ZOCOR, BICITRA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/07/2007.
