Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES reported PHENYTEK problem on Mar 08, 2007. Female patient, 37 years of age, was diagnosed with convulsion prophylaxis and was treated with PHENYTEK. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: cerebral haemorrhage, electromechanical dissociation, grand mal convulsion, haemodialysis, hypotension, hypoxia, nephritis interstitial, stevens-johnson syndrome. PHENYTEK dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 02/19/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: auricular swelling, blister, blood potassium increased, blood sodium decreased, cerebral infarction, encephalitis herpes, haemoglobin decreased. PHENYTEK dosage: 400 MG; QD; PO. During the same period patient was treated with ARANESP, GABAPENTIN, PREDNISONE, LEVOTHYROXINE, GUAIFENESIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
