Pharmacist from UNITED STATES reported Polystyrene side effect on May 01, 2007. Female patient was diagnosed with hyperkalaemia and was treated with Polystyrene. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: intestinal ischaemia. Polystyrene dosage: 30 MG ONCE DAILY FOR 2 D PO. During the same period patient was treated with SORBITOL, PRIMAXIN, TOBRAMYCIN, VANCOMYCIN, BACTRIM, MORPHINE, METOPROLOL SUCCINATE, ASCORBIC ACID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
