Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN reported ROPIVACAINE problem on Dec 04, 2006. Female patient, 79 years of age, weighting 123.5 lb, was diagnosed with epidural anaesthesia and was treated with ROPIVACAINE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: blood pressure systolic increased, electromechanical dissociation, heart rate increased, loss of consciousness, orthostatic hypotension. ROPIVACAINE dosage: 120 MG OVER A 24 HOUR PERIOD (12 ML), EPIDURAL. During the same period patient was treated with XYLOCAINE WITH EPINEPHRINE. Patient recovered.
