Simethicone Side Effects Report #5417914-6
Physician from TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA reported SIMETHICONE problem on Aug 08, 2007. Female patient, 71 years of age, weighting 134.5 lb, was diagnosed with constipation, gastric ulcer, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, type 2 diabetes mellitus, irritable bowel syndrome and was treated with SIMETHICONE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: aphasia, cerebrovascular accident, hyperglycaemia, hyperosmolar state, monoplegia, muscular weakness, mutism. SIMETHICONE dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MAGNESIUM OXIDE, PANTOPRAZOLE, METOCLOPRAMIDE, ISRADIPINE, FENOFIBRATE, INSULIN, PRAVASTATIN, ZELNORM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
