Health Professional from GERMANY reported Thioctacid side effect on Aug 30, 2007. Female patient, 14 years of age, was diagnosed with suicide attempt and was treated with Thioctacid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure, convulsion, disseminated intravascular coagulation, hepatic failure, intentional overdose, lactic acidosis, multi-organ failure, renal failure, respiratory failure. Thioctacid dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NORFENEFRINE, ACETAMINOPHEN. Patient died.
