Physician from JAPAN reported ZIAGEN problem on Sept 14, 2007. Male patient, 36 years of age, was diagnosed with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, opportunistic infection prophylaxis, antifungal prophylaxis and was treated with ZIAGEN. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: aids encephalopathy, altered state of consciousness, blood creatinine increased, blood urea increased, convulsion, nephropathy, renal failure chronic. ZIAGEN dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VIREAD, EPIVIR, RETROVIR, NORVIR, ZITHROMAC, BAKTAR, TIPRANAVIR. Patient recovered.ZIAGEN problem was reported by a Physician from SWITZERLAND on Sept 21, 2007. Female patient, 53 years of age, weighting 123.5 lb, was diagnosed with hiv infection and was treated with ZIAGEN. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: agranulocytosis, chills, hypersensitivity, myalgia, pyrexia. ZIAGEN dosage: 300MG TWICE PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with REYATAZ, VIREAD, NORVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
