I have the same suspicion, i took glucophage for few months and had gout. I stoped it for 3 years and never had any symptoms. Last year i started glucophage again and got gout again in couple of months?! I also think there is a connection, probably to certain body types?!

I'm on Metformin for PCOS and have severe chronic diarrhoea. Along with Stomach pain, Nausea and tiredness. I take it twice a day and have been on it for 2 months now. Doctor yesterday told me to have a trial period without it for 2 weeks and see if I still have any. Up to now nothing.

IF THIS WORKS SHE ALSO GOING TO WEAN ME OFF THE INSULIN, NOW 40 UNITS, WAS UP TO 65 DID NOT FEEL RIGHT. MY #S WERE 169 EMPTY AND 2 HRS AFTER # 161, MAYBE THJERE IS HOPE!!

I have been taking Metformin 500 mg tablets, I have been taking for over a week 4 tablets a day 2 at night 2 in morning but have not been able to urinate properly, so I have stopped as I have small amounts of clotted blood come out my penis, has anyone ever had this happen to them ?
