Metformin Renal Impairment Reviews

Sun, 02 Aug 2009
My father is 83 and is taking x2 Metformin in the morning and x2 Metformin in the afternoon. He is also on an aray of different medications for various reasons - these being warfarin (for A.F), lasix 40mg in the morning, drugs for gout etc etc. He also has some Renal Impairment, the severity of which I am not certain. What I would like to know is, does anyone know of side effects associated with Metformin that cause loss of balance, weakness in lower limbs and general loss of volition?
