Metoprolol Anxiety Reviews

I am experiencing Anxiety, and I truly believe it's from this drug. Anyone else feeling this?

I have been taking Metoprolol for four months. I just spent 2 days in the hospital with the whole cardiac check out. The stress test revealed all is ok, for now, with my heart. The Anxiety it has caused me is unbearable. Shortness of breath, chest discomfort, dizzy, blurry vision, upset stomach are some of the effects I have experienced. I never had any of these with Norvasc. While in the hospital, I was given lot's of ativan to help with the Anxiety and one 25mg HCTz. Once I got back home and took the Metoprolol, I began to have the same side effects again. Not only am I not going to take it anymore, I am also changing doctors to help control my high blood pressure.

I was put on Metoprolol ER 2 years ago after having cancer. I was tired all day could not sleep at night, had Anxiety attacks, cold hands and feet, short term memory loss, felt srange, eyes burned at times, back pain, constipation, nausea and vomiting, irritability and many others I cannot think of now. I stopped it and the withdrawal symtoms have been extremely awful going through - it has been a week since I stopped and still am not back to normal - maybe i never will be???
