Metoprolol Fatigue Causes and Reviews

Everyone feels tired now and then. Sometimes you may just want to stay in bed. But, after a good night's sleep, most people feel refreshed and ready to face a new day. If you continue to feel tired for weeks, it's time to see your doctor. He or she may be able to help you find out what's causing your Fatigue and recommend ways to relieve it.

Fatigue itself is not a disease. Medical problems, treatments, and personal habits can add to Fatigue. These include

  • Taking certain medicines, such as antidepressants, antihistamines, and medicines for nausea and pain
  • Having medical treatments, like chemotherapy and radiation
  • Recovering from major surgery
  • Anxiety, stress, or depression
  • Staying up too late
  • Drinking too much alcohol or too many caffeinated drinks
  • Pregnancy

One disorder that causes extreme Fatigue is chronic Fatigue syndrome (CFS). This Fatigue is not the kind of tired feeling that goes away after you rest. Instead, it lasts a long time and limits your ability to do ordinary daily activities.

Metoprolol Fatigue Reviews

Wed, 07 Jan 2009
I call it the death pill because thats what it makes you feel like. Severe reaction on my asthma, stomach, ulcers, ear infections, jitters, numbness, tingling, blurred vision, im sure there are 50 more i havent mentioned oh thats right quot;memory lossquot;, Fatigue, constipation and or diarhea, there really should be a better beta blocker out there somewhere. I take this one for high blood pressure and i think i was better off with the high blood pressure.

Fatigue was the biggest problem while taking Metoprolol. It was so bad that when I would come home from work I had to go straight to bed.I also had severe joint pains associated with this medication. I have since changed to Toprol XL, which has made a big difference.
Thu, 19 May 2011
I took this drug for over 2 mos for a rapid heart rate and possible hypertension. My blood pressure went up, I got blurred vision, felt Fatigue, confusion, inability to concentrate, dizzy spells. I am a runner and am too tired to run. It seems to cause many of the problems it's supposed to treat. It also makes my heart hammer. This is an awful drug. Beware of this drug and 'drug stacking'. Doctors push pills at you because they make money off of it- question your doctor- do your research. These drugs can killl you. I am seeing a new doctor to learn how to wean off this safely.
