Metronidazole Cerebellar Ataxia Causes and Reviews

When you play the piano or hit a tennis ball you are activating the cerebellum. The cerebellum is the area of the brain that controls coordination and balance. Problems with the cerebellum include

  • Cancer
  • Genetic disorders
  • Ataxias - failure of muscle control in the arms and legs that result in movement disorders
  • Degeneration - disorders caused by brain cells decreasing in size or wasting away

Treatment of cerebellar disorders depends on the cause. In some cases, there is no cure but treatment may help with symptoms.

Describe Your Metronidazole Experience Here: after taking a total of 4 pills, 1 first day 2 second day and 1 in third day. I had symptoms begin on that second day. There was tingling in my lips with burning in my lips and tongue. The next day they look swollen. My ear was all congested, around opening of nose it burns and I have nasal congestion and runny. My eye lid swelled up and I have a confirmed bacterial infection in eye.(may be related to meds) eye dr wouldn't say. Doctor who out me on meds told me not to take anymore, so I'm waiting for these symptoms to go away. How long after meds are stopped will symptoms go away? I've had alot of symptoms some common some not so.

I am deeply indebted to Danny Smith with his comments about Metronidazole. I was also prescribed Metronidazole for a tooth complaint and after experiencing dizziness and being very unwell with nausea, happened to find his remarks on the net. After taking each tablet my symptoms increased and finally searched the net for some information. I immediately stopped my medication and alerted my Dr who has prescribed anti nausea pills and amoxycillin which have settled my symptoms and the infection has reduced in anticipation of root canals to be performed in a couple of days.
