I have been on Morphine for several years for DDD (Degenerative Disc Decease) TEVA-MORPHINE SR. 30mg. every 12 hours, I am now admitting that I simply cant Function doing day to day things, Working is a huge problem because I could go to My office today and be just fine, then the following day is as if I'd been hit by a Bus. So I decided that I desperately need to get my life back...Unfortunately I cant remember who I was without Morphine or who I'll be without Morphine. For the past 2 weeks I have stopped taking the night Pill, so I've cut down from 60mgs. to 30mg. Now approximately 2 weeks doing this has been some what difficult, but now I'm having awful stomach problems. The first week or so was confusing because from what I've heard and also been told, coming off of Morphine is not something you'd want to do on your own, well today Friday May 13th is actually feeling worst than I did yesterday, I thought by now I would be starting to feel better not worse, my stomach is feeling horrible, there's a pain I'm not familiar with! Is this normal? I was going to Try starting on Monday to not take a Morphine, knowing it'll be very difficult, should I Try or not? I need to get off the Morphine and I will... I don't want to take A DRUG to get past taking A Drug, that makes absolutely no sense to me, so, what can I do...Evidently I need HELP! Can someone give me some sound advice? :( :-[
