Soon after starting Nembutal the patient began experiencing various side effects, including:
  • Hypoventilation
  • Snoring
  • Hypoxia
  • Vomiting
Drugs used concurrently:
  • Fentanyl (1 ?g/kg Microgram(s)/kilogram)
  • Although Nembutal demonstrated significant improvements in a number of clinically relevant cases, troublesome symptoms, such as Hypoxia, may still occur.

    This Convulsion problem was reported by a consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES. A 20-year-old female patient (weight: NA) was diagnosed with the following medical condition(s): status epilepticus.On NS a consumer started treatment with Nembutal (dosage: 9 Mg / Kg ; Qh ; Iv). The following health products were being taken at the same time:
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Fosphenytoin
  • Levetiracetam
  • When commencing Nembutal, the patient experienced the following unwanted symptoms /side effects:
    • Convulsion
    • Laceration
    • Swollen Tongue

    This opens a possibility that Nembutal could cause Hypoventilation and that some female subjects may be more susceptible.

    on Apr 06, 2009 a Female from UNITED STATES , child 10 years of age, was diagnosed with and was treated with Nembutal. Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Nembutal side effects: angioedema, endotracheal intubation complication, obstructive airways disorder, swollen tongue, tongue abscess, tongue biting, tongue haematoma, tongue injury. Nembutal dosage: 12 Mg/kg;qh;iv.
    Associated medications used:
    • Valproic Acid
    • Fosphenytoin
    • Midazolam Hcl
