my doctor is suggesting my thyroid may be low and he is reccommending a thyroid pill. I am currently taking dilantin and benicar and i was wondering if taking this pill is safe? He has me take my thyroid temp under my arm for 10 minutes but cant a thyroid blood test do the same thing as a temperature to find out if my thyroid is low?

11 months on 10 mg Lisinopril does work for me. My BP ranges from 110/73 to 120/84. I don't get the coughing, but I still have a constant numb feeling around my upper gum's/lower sinus area. Like I'm smoking/smelling poison ivy. I have researched other review boards of this med, and don't see anyone else complaining of this. I know two other people that take it, and they don't get this effect. My question is, are there any online charts comparing the ingredients of each particular BP med? ie

I am 47 , take 1 pill for high blood pressure. My morning readings are 155/125 and fluctuate between 165/100. right now it is 120/70. I am a Fruitarian-Rawfoodist. I called my doctor and he asked me to increase my medication to 20mg of Benicar instead of 10mg. Now I had my family home visiting me for 4 months + I did not follow my usual diet & gained on weight (6pounds). Do you guys think that Zen Mediation can help me? I want to go back to 10 mg of benicar. My family left today. thanks

I am a Vegan(Fruitarian-Rawfoodist) and my BP use to be around 120/74 4 months ago with only 10mg of Benica(BP medication). Now my family came over to visit for 4 months & I did not follow strickly my Fruitarian diet , I ate soy icecream , ate salad with blue cheese on it , veggie pizza) baasically I gained 6 pounds. Lately my blood pressure was around 150/80 because of my poor diet so I decided to increase my benicar to 20mg for 5 days. Now that I am back to my 100 Fruitarian diet my morning

My mother is having hallucinations while she is awake, but not aware the things are really not in front of her. She has taken different medications which i had to goto her house and literally took her pills away from her. So she hasnt had any pills in two days because i'm afraid she is going to overdose with them. My sister is now watching her but i wanna know if i should take her to the ER or not because i dont want to waste my time going in if they are just going to say they cant help her.

I take diovan hct 160mg but dr's office ran out. The nurse (doctor was not in) gave me benicar 40mg instead. I won't take it until I speak w/doc or pharmacist but wondering if anyone knows for sure if these two drugs are similar enough for me to just switch overnight. Thanks!

Ok maybe i need to vent but here it is. about 6 or 7 months ago i went into the er for what they diagnosed with tachycardia my pulse was running around 140 and while i was in the er they diagnosed me with high blood pressure it was around 160/85. Since then ive been getting these weird but sever chest pains. they come and go but theyre deep pains in my left and middle of chest and also in my upper back left side. I was recently put on Benicar 40mg for blood pressure of 164/100, its been one month now and with exercise and diet along with Benicar 40mg once a day my blood has fallen to as low as 95/50. I feel no side affects of low blood pressure, but at times I feel a little dizzy upon standing. Is my blood pressure to low now?

They say you must be responsible for your own health. The Dr had me on 5 pills and I had added a vitamin. I just did not feel good, all the time. I am a 41 yr old male, and I have been on Atenolol for about 6 years for hypertension. Recently I switched to Benicar for a hypertension medication. I am in decent shape and exercise regularly. I have noticed that my resting pulse since I went off of the atenolol is in the 70-80 range. I am assuming it is so high because the Atenolol suppressed it for so long. Using a regular and fairly rigorous workout regime, is it reasonable to expect my resting pulse to get back down to the 60's range?

Ok I am very low on vitamin d have been for like six months. I had taken in the past 50000 iu of vitamin d weakly for 17 weeks it just raised my vitamin up five points or how ever you say it, Now the doc got me taken vitamin d with fish live oil. They are 400 iu and I am to take 5 a day. I also have to take 50000 iu weakly alone with the 2000 daily. I aslo take Benicar, Metotropol , xanax, Synthroid . Dose anybody see where any of these durgs will do any harm to me,, I have very bad anxiety.

My vitamin D is low and I have been taking a high dose of it for like sixteen weeks, Well I can tell after a month of being off of them that its still low. I was at one time on the vitamin with iron suggested by the doc, but since them I started taking Benicar so I was wondering if there would be a drug interaction with them two, thanks

I'm a 27 year old male who gets heart palpitations. They started around the beginning of last year. Just recently they've become more frequent, like one every hour or possibly two every hour. They don't make me dizzy or feel like I'm going to faint. However, I do get a jolt of fear through my body and I stop everything I'm doing. I've checked my pulse before and felt them. Raw Foodist and 2 months ago I decided to stop 1 of my medication called Benicar. Now I was taking only 1 generic(Coreg).. That month my Mom got at the hospital , I was under stress with my job and I decided to eliminate nuts and focusing more on Fruits. My Blood pressure came back up to 150/100. I went to see my Doctor and I am back with my second medication Benicar+ generic , I decided to go back as Rawfoodist(Fruitarian) eating nuts etc.. Now my BP is dropping around between 99/60 to 125/80

Hello, here's my question. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure about 6 months ago and put on medication (Benicar 20mg). When initially checked 6 months ago my blood pressure was 141/110, I've been keeping active and have lost 25 pounds since then.
