after I was finished my treatment - two weeks later my gastro doctor put me on Prevpac (a combination of Prevacid, Biaxin and Trimox (for h.pylori). After the fouth or fifth day I broke out into hives and immediately stopped treatment. Previously I had no problem with Prevacid so I think I'm not allergic to that but I think it's between Trimox or Biaxin. Anyone have similar side affects? Maybe too much Trimox in my system? I have just gotten off a course of Biaxin XL antibiotics. My last day of taking the pills was on Sunday Nov 1st. I was on them for an ongoing sinus infection, that spread to my respiratory, then back up to my sinuses. This has been ongoing since the last week of August and I am getting sick of antibiotics and medications as I have been on them on and off for nearly 2.5 months. I've been prescribed Biaxin for a sinusitis, and started taking it yesterday. The doctor warned me that it would be a little hard on the stomach, and when I checked on Wikipedia it did mention nausea and diarrhea as most common side effects. Yesterday in the evening, and this morning, I had hiccups for around three hours in total, and a sensation of needing to burp that doesn't go away. On Wednesday I got sick to my stomach, possibly inhaled some vomit, got a cough on Thursday and started on antibiotics (Clarithromycin or Biaxin, same thing) on Friday. After 4 days of feeling absolutely horrid, I'm finally starting to feel a lot better. But I still have this persistent cough. It sounds and feels like it has sputum in it but I can't cough it out. The codene that I took over the weekend should have helped me I thought, seeing as it is both and expectorant and a suppressant.

I started getting a cough wednesday night after I threw up. It got really bad. I guess I have aspiration pneumonia On Friday I started on Biaxin. But I also took a lot of medication on Friday (In Total - 1 Dristan, 2 or 3 extra strenth tyelenols, 1 tsp of Codene and the 2 Biaxins I must take daily.) Also, I have not been eating as much lately. I've been sick for two weeks with what I think is a sinus infection. I have been diagnosed with sinusitis this summer because I've had like 5 over the past year. Hi all, I'm on biaxin 250mg twice a day for 10 days. Does anyone know if you can drink alcohol while on the antibiotics? I don't want any weird reactions! I did read the entire pamphlet and it did not mention anything about drinking, but I will check out that website....thanks :o)

My wife had had influenza symptoms that had turned into bronchitis, she took biaxin for this and it started to clear up. Then she developed severe ear infections. The docs put here on ceftin, which was working, but on day 7 of the 10-day dose she had a severe allergic reaction. She broke out in hives head to toe. She did not have trouble breathing, and took benedryl. Is this something to go to the ER for? Or can it resolve on its own?

hi i am currently taking the prevpac.meds that are mentioned above and i feel terrible. it feels like i am having a panic attack. my blood pressure was normal when i took it and now its 122/80.pulse 88. i feel like my body slowed down and there was a burning sensation in my chest and lots of burping. made me feel nervous. any suggestions or has anyone gone through this and had similiar symptoms or is this bad?

I got a bad skin infection on my face about 3 weeks ago (diagnosed as most likely impetigo), so I went on the antibiotic Biaxin to treat it. I just finished it two days ago. I am on birth control pills, and my period was supposed to start yesterday. I did not have sex at all while on the antibiotics, as I have heard they can become inactive while taking medication. My cycle is always btwn 28-32 days. Today is my 40th day. I got bronchitis the week I was supposed to start. I have cramps but no period. Just saw my dr and took a blood test. 2 home pregnancy tests were negative, and urine test at dr was negative. I am not on the pill. Dr. seems to think the Biaxin threw my period off. Do you think that is the case or is it a better chance of pregnancy? He did take a blood test...waiting for results this afternoon. He's actually a very good doctor!

I was on Minocycline for about a year for acne. Worked great. Then my prescription ended and thought I didn't need it anymore. 4 months later I started getting acne again. Since my body had built a resistance to Minocycline, Biaxin was suggested. I've been on Biaxin for about 3 months and there is no change. My acne isn't really bad. Just a cyst or two every once and a while. They aren't noticeable, but they hurt like a bitch.

I've had a persistent very dry non productive cough for the passed 6-7 MONTHS..please help! ok 2 days ago i started gettin sharp pain in teeth i have some broken teeth so its bound to happen within 1 night my nose started swelling on the right now nostril and my mouth so the doctor put me on biaxin and a nasel spray now my fever for 2 days has been between 100 and 103 i woke up today feeling a bit better ive been taking medication but not eating for the past few days but when i woke today my whole lower back and back kills (could it be due to sinus infection)or the fact i cant go t

I have asthma, and smoke cigarettes, weed. I have cut back to 2-3 cigarettes (don't flame me please i know it's bad) and i've smoked weed maybe 3 times in the past few days. I've been sick for 2-3 weeks with symptoms such as... Congestion in my chest, slight fever that comes and goes (never over 100.00), loss of appetite, stomach has been upset, and fatigue. I get these infections every 3-4 months and i take a round of azithromyicn and it's gone in days, but this one i was put on 10 days

Okay so i just found out i had H.pylori infection and the doctor prescribed me with flagyl (metronidazole) and biaxin and prilesec or however thats spelled. But anyways is there anything i can do to avoid getting a yeast infection because i heard that those 2 can give you a yeast infection. Is there any foods you can eat that are a good bacteria or that will help avoid a yeast infection. Another thing is i have a yucky taste in my mouth from the pills what can i do to get that taste out of my

i was recently treated for an bacterial infection & the doctor told me 2 take biaxin xl (500mg). i finish the pills Tuesday& Wednesday i notice yellowish discharge with a little odor. Could this have game me an yeast infection? if so how can i get rid of it

for the past 2days i had yellowish discharge & im due for my period on the 10th. i havent had sex in a long time so i know that its not an std. i was on antibiotics (biaxin) about a week ago & my last day was tuesday & thats when i notice my yellowish discharge.. could this have any effect on my discharge? plz help
