Open Question: Why am I still in so much pain?
(Thu, 19 Nov 2009 15:07:38 GMT)
I had an Essure procedure done at my doctor's office on Tuesday. I was given two halcion pills and passed out right before the procedure. During the procedure I woke up and felt EVERYTHING. When it was done I was supposed to walk out 30 minutes later. It took 2 hours in the fetal position crying and shaking and nauseated before I could be wheeled out of the office in a wheel chair. I ended up throwing up in the car on the way home with NO warning. It's Thursday and I'm still in so much p

Open Question: Pain after Essure procedure?
(Thu, 19 Nov 2009 05:37:30 GMT)
I had the Essure procedure done Tuesday. The doctor gave me halcion to make my uterus relax and knock me out. Half way through the procedure, I woke up and felt everything. After it was done, I laid on the table in a fetal position shaking and crying from the pain. I was supposed to walk out a half an hour later, it took me two hours to be able to get into a wheel chair to be driven home. I was also very nauseated and ended up throwing up in the car. I'm still in a horrible amount of pai

Resolved Question: Dentist and needles question.?
(Mon, 21 Sep 2009 00:01:42 GMT)
When dentists give you a shot to numb you up, where do they inject you? I've always thought it was in your cheek, but I keep hearing things saying that they inject you in the gums. which is it? And also, Does anyone have any experience with Halcion? I'm gonna take it when I get my wisdom teeth extracted, and I was wondering what it actually does to you. Please and thank you!

I have been having terrible insomnia lately due to a lto of stress and anxiety in my life lately. I felt really depressed for the past few weeks but now I just feel irritable and anxious all the time. Anyways went to the doctor today and he put me on Paxil CR 12.5 for depression/anxiety and Hacion .250 for insomnia. Im a little nervous about taking either of these (especially together) since reading the side affects and warnings. I've never taken any kind of anti-depressant before or anything

I don't think it's gonna be super painful since I've gotten over my fear of needles and the medication, Halcion, I'm getting is supposed to make me not really care about what's happening, and the dentist said that I shouldn't even remember the procedure. What I'm really worried about is the recovery. What are some good foods to eat and what are some tips on a better recovery? Please and thank you. Is ANYTHING soft ok? Resolved Question: Mad Midnight cravings.?
(Fri, 31 Jul 2009 19:31:56 GMT)
I have a weight problem which stems entirely from mad, uncontrollable cravings for all the wrong foods late at night. The cravings are so unrelenting that I cant sleep until I have satisfied them. I take Halcion/Temazepam to help me sleep and they make the cravings much worse, However, even if I dont take them, I still get these cravings.. I am diabetic which naturally is greatly affected by this problem. Has anyone experienced similar issues that they have found a solution for?

My husband has an appointment Monday morning to have his wisdom teeth extracted and I've lost his Halcion prescription. I called the office yesterday and they "said" they would have it faxed to our pharmacy, which they did not... go figure. My question is can I just give him one of my Xanax instead? Or is there something in the Halcion that will do something different with the local they're going to give him? Thanks! btw, it's saturday and the office is closed. i already tried. ...and i

Resolved Question: Is my doctor a quack?
(Mon, 16 Mar 2009 03:20:11 GMT)
He gives out old school medicine like benzo's (diazepam, Halcion) and Valium for sleep issues. He's like 60 and always popping pills, from being in the medical field myself they look like Percocet and he's always asking if I want some Vicodin or Viagra even though I don't take them. Plus he shakes a lot.

Resolved Question: Tooth Extraction + Pain?
(Thu, 15 Jan 2009 23:28:37 GMT)
Alright, so I had taken 2 halcion right when I got to the Dentist this morning. 30-40 mins later I was in the chair and waiting. The Halcion made me feel a little clumsy, but I mean it seemed like it did pretty much nothing. The dentist came in and numbed my mouth with Lidocaine I believe. I swear it seemed like he put 5-6 shots in there to take out my back to lower right molars (infected). Well, that was about 7 hours ago. I did take a HUGE Ibuprofen right when I got there from one of the as

Resolved Question: I think I have a sleeping pill addiction...Please help?
(Fri, 12 Dec 2008 02:10:26 GMT)
Please offer any genuine advice you can, thanks. I'm in Halcion to help me sleep and to control my excessive anxiousy because I haven't been sleeping and needed them terribly to control excessive panic attacks. My script clearly told me to take one at night to help me nod off, but after that didn't work I began to swallow up to 7 per night with a bottle of champagne and ended so relaxed, but not knowing what I was doing and feeling terrified incase I'd done something terible. Resolved Question: Anesthesia and Panic Disorder?
(Fri, 05 Dec 2008 00:02:14 GMT)
I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow, and I'm going to be knocked out with anesthesia for the procedure. I am FREAKED OUT. I have panic disorder, and the idea of being anesthetized is literally making me shake, sweat and tear up. I'm going to be taking a sedative (Halcion) tonight before I go to bed, and in the morning so I don't have a panic attack before surgery. But I'm still really scared right now... I've looked for questions on here about being deathly allergic to anesthesia, and

Voting Question: I'm bipolar and want to come off my medications?
(Wed, 03 Dec 2008 17:40:35 GMT)
Okay, so I was diagnosed as bipolar in June of this year. I've tried different kinds of medications and no combination has seemed to work or help that well for me. I've been taking lamictal continuously. I took depakote, geodon, abilify, and celexa and none of them seemed to help. Right now, on top of the Lamictal, I have been taking Topamax for about 3 weeks, Halcion (Triazolam) to sleep, and I was prescribed Effexor on Monday. I feel like a zombie! I don't feel like a human being anymore, I

(Mon, 17 Nov 2008 19:43:12 GMT)
I am coming down with a sore throat and a stuffy nose. Will I still be able to get the gas tomorrow with the stuffy nose? How badly will the sore throat interfere with the procedure? I am so scared of the dentist - that they have to give me halcion before I get there- plus all the gas and such. How bad is a root canal?

Voting Question: Need tips, just had wisdom teeth removed yesterday.?
(Thu, 02 Oct 2008 01:16:54 GMT)
Halcion is one CRRAAAZY drug. Apparently, I was worse than when I'm drunk. Almost fell on the dentist's coffee table, tried to swindle a bottle of Maker's Mark at BevMo before the surgery, and was trying to convince my friend that the pills weren't working and I was going to "fight it." All while trying to drive his car from the passenger side. But anyways. It's the next day, and I don't remember any of that mess. The dentist and my friend told me about it today, I feel like an idiot. T

Resolved Question: I've had problems with the sleeping pill Halcion, should I tell my psychiatrist to I might need something new?
(Mon, 22 Sep 2008 16:23:59 GMT)
He is retiring soon, and I am paying cash so he is still seeing me. He gives out month long prescriptions for Benzo's, and I originally asked for Ambien which is non narcotic anyway. Halcion also lowers my libido. And having a four week supply, and seeing him five weeks later with no hope of calling in early (I tried) doesn't help me any. I tried to make it last, and it still ran out. I only got 2 and a half hours of sleep last night. So I had to cancel going to class, and sleep al

Resolved Question: What my psychiatrist didn't tell me about Halicon sleeping medication?
(Mon, 22 Sep 2008 10:54:39 GMT)
When I asked for a non narcodic sleeping medication called Ambien two months ago for my insomnia, the psychiatrist said I should take Halcion instead. He said it was cheaper, and it didn't have the tolerance that Ambien does. What he didn't tell me was that in a few months he would prescribe me four weeks of Halcion, and not see me for five weeks. I tried to call in the medication and I have to wait to see him first. I tried to make it last but I ran out on Friday night. I slept Saturday

Resolved Question: Why would a psychiatrist canel an appointment the night before, without me getting to talk to the nurse?
(Sat, 16 Aug 2008 00:55:24 GMT)
And have no way of communicating? He has the flu. I get my benzo's filled once a month, I already paid my doctor bill. What is up with having me wait another week to get them filled? I had to go to the emergancy room to get them filled to last the weekend. There is no doctor on call that can magically refill my Valium, or Halcion. He is going to retire soon, and clearly cares nothing about me or my mental health. I agree Looney. The next psychiatrist I find will have a back up doct

Resolved Question: Halcion for a root canal - I'm Terrified?
(Tue, 29 Jan 2008 21:56:29 GMT)
I am scheduled to have a root canal completed tomorrow morning. It's only half way finished because the pain the first time was excruciating. From what the dentist told me, despite 4 or 5 novocaine shots and a healthy dose of nitrous oxide I kept burning off the painkillers. I felt an extreme pain which I can only describe as white hot and blindingly exruciating. The dentist prescribed for me some halcion for the next appointment to calm me down and hopefully finish the procedure. I am terri

I will be awake during the procedure, with just novocaine to numb the area. The oral surgeon and his assistant said I will not feel pain but I will feel up to about 20 pounds of pressure.
