I'm on Haloperidol and I was wondering if there is anybody out there who has Tardive Dyskiesia. If its short-term low dosage Haldol, can i still get it? How does it affect your life? And do you still have quality of life? Thanks. And by the way, I've been on Seroquel for 2 tears.

(Fri, 22 May 2009 20:18:41 GMT)
Listen, thanks to all the people that gave me some medical advice. It was great. Remember me?Asking what is the most sedating Anti-Psychotic. I noticed that most of you said Seroquel. I started off on 100mg a day. Then 200mg a day. ...then (this is not a joke)...I increased the dose to 900mg a day. Then 1500mg a day. And eventually 2200mg per day. And you know what? ITS NOT SEDATING ME. People said to me that Olanzapine was sedating. Didn't do anything for me. Neither did Risperidone or Solia

I have just started taking Haloperidol today and I have pain behind the eyes. I know what that is. Its the Cogentin. But if I don't take the Cogentin, I will get a dystonic reaction. Are there any over the counter or prescription drugs that can stop dystonias from coming on, apart from Cogentin? I have already had one dystonia and it was reversed by an injection of Phenergan. I have been taking Panadeine Forte for the pain behind the eyes, but thats only masking the problem. So, again, I ask,

Resolved Question: Why do they treat tourettes syndrome with halopreridol?
(Tue, 12 May 2009 22:19:40 GMT)
From my research, tourettes syndrome is a behavioral disorder. Haloperidol an antipsychotic and clonidine a blood pressure med are the most commonly used treatments for suppressing tics in this disorder. I really don't see how either (from a scientific standpoint) will help to cure this disorder. Why don't they use an amphetamine base drug like adderall to try and calm the patient in a similar way to ADHD? My research has shown a definite positive effect for the treatment (or tic therapy) of t
