Resolved Question: Does anyone walk towards the right hand side?
(Sun, 02 Aug 2009 16:37:09 GMT)
Hi I have been having co ordination problems and loss of balance for last few months. last night I found my legs gave way to me whilst standing still and, as I have a tendency to need to walk towards the right hand side all the time even when still, my right leg tripped my left leg up and I fell over. It shocked me as I was carrying a hot cup of tea at the time. Nothing broken but my joints are very stiff and sore today especially in the knees and hips. Any one have any ideas? I understand le

Resolved Question: Diabetic 22 year old trying to figure out what's normal.?
(Fri, 24 Jul 2009 04:33:06 GMT)
I've recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I'm still feeling everything out but my blood sugar has been controlled for the past few months. Lately I've been having an almost heavy, but not crushing, feeling in my chest. BP is normal, and I've also had bloodwork showing my LDL and triglycerides are normal. I'm going to the doctor on wednesday, and I've been googling everything like crazy. I'm thinking maybe I have some GERD that's causing it, but I'm not sure. Also the pain is not const

Resolved Question: If my pancreas is only "stressed" and not necessarily damaged by autoimmunity, can it be healed?
(Sun, 28 Jun 2009 14:20:59 GMT)
I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2003. Over the years, I was unable to control it with orals. This year, I was told that my pancreas is producing little to no insulin at all, a symptom of Type 1, but not due to autoimmunity. The doctor said that too much stress on the pancreas to produce the insulin my body needed to combat high glucose levels "shut my pancreas down". I asked if my pancreas would ever function normally again, since it is not the case that the cells were actually damaged

So I researched the internet and there were a bunch of side effects to which I could relate. Edema, http://grammiesplace.com/legs.jpg, eye irritation, fatigue, dry mouth, blurred vision, depression, weight gain, muscle spasms and back pain among others. I know that there are side effects to any pills and you have to weigh the good against the ba

(Thu, 28 May 2009 12:23:54 GMT)
Is it common for the dosage to be increased to TWO 100 mg tablets daily? Of course I won't do it until I ask the doctor, but I need to know if anyone takes a higher dose than one 100 mg. tab daily? I can't/won't take Metformin, etc. (weight gain), and do NOT want to start insulin. I'm hoping to get off all the medicine when I lose the weight - still about a year away. Meantime, am exploring options. Januvia works, but now it seems I need more. I do fairly well with food choices and exercis
