I am having real issues finding an antibiotic to take, I was given a zpak which tore my stomach up, lots of pain and diaherrea. I can't take ketek, omnicef, sulfa and I refuse to take any of the quin antibiotics.So what is left?

I had an allergic reaction to ketek a couple years ago, in which I had this wierd vision problem, kinda blurry. I have taken a zpak multiple times since and never had a reaction to it. Although today I was prescribed another zpak and they ask about the reaction to the ketek, apparently they are similar medications. Now I am kinda fearful that I may have a reaction to the zpak. Although like I said I have taken in the past with no problem, and when I told the er doc what kind of reaction I had

My liver enzymes have been elevated for well over 6 months now and the doctor cannot figure out what the problem is. I have stopped taking medicine, stopped drinking, quit smoking, drastically altered my diet, and tried various other things like milk thistle. I have a whole host of symptoms that could be anything. Resolved Question: Allergies to antibiotics have become life-threatening for me.?

An allergist did skin testing and the only safe oral antibiotics left are doxycylcine and Zithromax. I have developed anaphylaxis reactions to penicillin, cephalosporins, ketek, macrobid, sulfa, cipro - quinolones. Are there any alternatives? I have a bronchial infection that I am treating with doxycylcine and it doesn't seem to be doing to well. I live in Florida and would visit any doctor who has successful experience in helping patients who have severe antibiotic allergies. Any suggestion

My doc prescribed this to me i took 2 the next morning i woke up with the base of my tongue white and bleeding..He gave me this for sinusitis.Ive taken all sorts of antibiotics for this reason such as biaxin which is just as nasty.What can i do to rid this sinus problem without haveing to deal with these nasty meds??Since none seem to work???help please??Oh yea i told him and his reply ah your tongue is just irritated probally so keep takeing them!!Well my tongue wasnt like that before i took

I went to the dr. on 1/31 with bronchitis like symptoms. He prescribed 7 days of antibiotics (Ketek) and albuterol breathing treatments. I used the nebulizer for the albuterol for about 4 days, then quit was having racing heartbeat, angina etc. However I finished the Ketek. Two days ago I noticed a light rash on my chin, today the rash is on my entire face, neck, upper chest, back of neck and starting to spread across shoulder area. Very fine rash, not especially red or terribly itchy

my doctor thinks I have babesia but I cant get a positive test for it. I have heaviness in my legs, headaches, stomach issues and thats about it, some disorientedness.....I want to go on ketek because I heard it was a good drug....has anyone had some of the same symptoms and had them go away with ketek? most of my symptoms are neurological in nature...some feed back would be great, thanks

After a missed period and a + pg test I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how it could happen, then I realized that about 3 weeks ago or so I was on Ketek for a sinus infection and thought maybe that's what caused the little oops. I'm currently waiting for blood test results to know for sure if I'm pg, but in the mean time, I thought I'd try to figure out what the odds are. Any one?!?!?! Thanks!

I've been sick for 8 days and I feel like a ball in my throat and a common fever. I ve taken recephine injection twice and olfen injection twice and ketek and flagyl and ceclor and grofenac and agninova and a gargle medice. All of these stuff I've taken during the last 8 days but I'm still sick. Also I checked the doctor 4 times

I have failed a drug test do to taking Ketek. I have found other people who this has happened to, but there is not enough medical proof on the market to back anything up. Is thier anyone else this has happened to or anyone who knows anything about it?

The antibiotic is Ketek (telithromycin). I would like to know about any dangers or interactions possible when used in conjunction with alcohol, marijuana, or cocaine. I am also currently taking Prednisone, a steriod which helps with swollen glands.

a pill box that says ketek and another name that is long and starts with a t im concerned of what it is does anyone know its a no refill perscritption drug. i dont rember how many times a day u take it but it has a big instruction pamplet. and they come in foil packages like sudafed (the cold and allergy medicin). and theres like four in the package i think. does any one know what it is im concerned and no i wasnt snooping it was right by my head all night.
