Open Question: Is it smart to start taking Wellbutrin?

My doctor prescribed me Wellbutrin yesterday for focus and anxiety issues, and today was my first time on it. I have been doing research and I've read a lot of negative reviews that scare me. I am very apprehensive about continuing this drug. I am in college and my term is coming to an end, and I don't want to screw this up. Any thoughts?

I have a 30-day supply of Xanax with 60 low-dosage pills. My doctor prescribed this in conjunction with Wellbutrin for depression and anxiety. It didnt work for me, and I am going to try Wellbutrin now. My dr. says alternate 75mg and 37.5 mg for the first week, 37.5 the 2nd week, 37.5 every other day the third week and then i should be ok to stop. I just wondered if anybody had the bad side effects for a low dose and for taking Effexor for such a short time.

So, for various reasons, I am currently receiving free treatment with Lexapro (escitalopram), an SSRI antidepressant, which will continue for a few months. However, my free treatment ONLY covers Lexapro, and nothing else, and is separate from my insurance. So if I want to switch medications (specifically Wellbutrin), I have to go through a psychiatrist who would just give me the prescription, and I'd have to find out a way to get it. My funds are very low and obviously, I'm concerned about

I am still capable of functioning at a high level (I'm a university student), but everything seems to be a chore. Well, I'm on Zoloft and Wellbutrin. Have been for well over a year. My medical insurance stopped. I'm hopefully going to get it back in like a month and a half at the latest. I was diognosed with (adhd) when I was younger and I used to be on ridilan/adderall/and wellbutrin along with some others. I dont know why I stoped taking it for a few years. I've been on Wellbutrin for 4 years and have augmented it with a low dose of Abilify in the last year. But in the end, it has just stopped working and I'm more depressed than ever. I have an appointment tomorrow and my doctor says we'll have to try something different. I've tried several SSRI's and they all make me terribly sleepy. Is there anything out there that anyone has experience with that doesn't put you to sleep? I know everyone is different, but I'm just kind of looking for a starting

I have been on Buprpion 150mg SR Tab for about four 4-5 months. Everything was fine. A little more anxiety than usual but that is expected. I switched to wellbutrin after being on paxil for several years. Paxil made me gain weight and lose my sex drive. Wellbutrin seemed to work at first but now after being on it for 2 months, I am so angry and irritable all the time for no reason. ok so i have mild to moderate depression. i take 100mg of Wellbutrin SR. and i can say, it has helped. but...... i think i don't need it anymore. the medication wears off around 1 am and i feel no different without it. so im thinking... A.) the side effects are hurting me more than the meds are helping me (headches, acne, weight gain, loss of appetite, insomnia, etc.) B.) if im feeling better without the meds than why should i be costing my mom more money buying meds that i don't need anymore

And honestly...Paxil worked like a dream...with the terrible effect of me ballooning up to 200 pounds ( I'm 5'3) and having no sex drive. Other than that..it was a DREAM. Are there any better alternatives? I have anxiety as well..but I rather have anxiety than depression any day. I have heard Wellbutrin and a few other anti-depressants make you feel hyper and you lose weight. I don't know if they will work on me because I have ADHD. Voting Question: Can too many prescription drug's cause memory loss? particuarly lithium, seroquel and wellbutrin.?

Well i'm 15 and i have been taking all three of those by prescription for about 4 months. Recently i made a stupid move and took a pretty large amount of all of them i can't say exactly but something like 4-5 seroquel, 10ish lithium pills, and 10ish wellbutrin. this will sound stupid, but i used to cry like 10X a day... now ive been on wellbutrin for like 3 days, and i cant cry. i feel like i need to. cant describe it, but yea i really feel like i need to. so why cant i? is it because of the meds? theyre making me sadder, so if im still sad then why cant i cry?

i just got prescribed these meds, and i think it's them that killed my appetite. they're called wellbutrin. i can eat fine for breakfast, before i take it, but then i can eat, its just i dont really like too.... so whats the minimun i have to? because i dont want my body to enter starvation mode or whatever its called... i dont think it will tho. thanks. :)
