My mother is having a hard time breathing and for some reason she doesn't want to call a pharmacist. Anyway, she takes all these medications: Seroquel 300 XR Levothroid 100mcg Ultram 50 mg 4/day Relephen (generic Nubitone) 750mg 2/day Zocor 20mg She was wondering if she could take any of the three medications to help with breathing in the question with what she already takes. I don't know why she won't just call the pharmacist. Thanks for help, as always.

I have been experience most of the symptoms listed below since 2005 to present the symptoms come and go, with new symptoms as well. I have tried to go to various Drs. and have gotten dismissed every time, I have been told that there is noting wrong with me and im just too young to be sick, they didn’t care to find out what’s wrong with me. I was told 2 months ago I was pre diabetic as I had a non-fasting glucose test of only 57,then a fasting of 104. I'm a 50 yr old male. I have type 1 diabetes. Recently I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Along with coreg, aspirin, and zocor my cardiologist added lisinopril. I have been taking it for two weeks now and I am so tired and weak. I don't think I have ever been this tired all the time. I just want to sleep and sleep and sleep. I have heard zocor can cause depression, low sex drive & muscle aches. I already have depression i do not need more of it honestly lol I have no pain in my muscles & i do not want to start now. My doctor hasn't mentioned anything yet - he just tells me to keep up my 2.5 mile walking every morning 5x per week. I've been taking 20 mg of zocor (simvastatin) every night for 8+ years and it's brought my cholesterol down from the 251 to 265 range down to the 171 to 180 range (so it's been very successful). I'm hoping I don't have to take any other pills.

I have to admit I have changed me eating habits do to my financial situation and I drive a bus for a living now. My total cholesterol is 199 triglyceride 72 hdl 35 ldl 150 The doctor pointed out that my ldl is too high and should be below 100 I do take fish oil daily and when I get the opportunity I do exercise, i.e., run or swim. I am already taking 20mg of lisinopril. I am 42, 5'11' and I weigh about 183. Thank you in advance.

My doctor recently put me on 20mg of Zocor's generic Simvasiwhatever for my cholesterol (LDL 185 HDL 33) and I've been reading some people say that if you have certain pre-existing problems that it can make them worse, specifically with muscles. Zocor and Lipitor, which are taken to lower cholesterol, can produce symptoms that mimic the flu. Doctors can easily miss the connection, but muscle aches may signal tissue breakdown. On 10mg 1x a day. My legs hurt and ache so bad. I am only 45 female. Not too much over weight, have strong legs, bought New Balance shoes, but they ache so bad. I have to keep sitting down. And my arms from elbows to wrists ache, where I can't carry things. And I get really tired, fatigue where I need a nap. I stopped Zocor 40mg this week. Going to start Omega 3 to replace the Zocor. My mom started metmorfin the other day. Her sugar is usually around 130-140 ish when she eats normally, and the doc gave her the metmorfin to bring it down a little. When she eats very small amounts, she can get it at 120, so she wasn't sure if she wanted to take it or not but in the end she decided to do what the doc said and take the metmorfin. Okay so I have learned that metmorphin has to be taken regularly instead of as needed (thanks to who answered that) -- my mom has been prescribed zocor (to lower cholesterol), synthroid (thyroid), and metmorphin (manage sugar levels). My husband was diagnosed with a fatty liver a few months ago. He has been struggling with alcoholism as well. He doesn't really drink on the week days anymore but pretty much drinks a ton on the weekend. He is giving AA a try! So hopefully it can help. I am 33. I have a burst fracture @ t12 and this slightly involves L1 to a lesser degree. T6-T8 compression fractures. Minimal posterior bowing at T11-T12. (seen 3.08 and 3.09 mri's) - No change from 2008 to 2009. Sagittal T1, T2 inversion recovery (3.09) Mild broad based disc bulge @ L5-S1 which is asymmetrically prominent to the rt. of midline. I had a routine 8 Week Cholesterol, Triglyceride fasting test done. My Triglycerides and Cholesterol were elevated and they put me on 20mg of Zocor for the last 2 months! When I took the test my Bad Cholesterol went down, and my good Cholesterol went up! But my Triglycerides went from 430 "Already very high" to 602. I am very concerned about a Statin drug as other Polio Survivors have had terrible side effects from these types of drugs. Leg and muscle weakness? Is one drug better than another? I have been prescribed Zocor by my doctor. My sister has a questionable history of having Poli as a child and she has been on Ceclor and Triclore and was just taken off Ceclor because of leg and muscle pains.

What is the best cholesterol lowering medicine? I had a heart attack two years ago with triple bypass surgery at University of Virginia Hospital. I prescribed Vytorin by UVA. I offered my doctor a 20 page report(by a renowned biochemist) about the devastating side effects of statins (Lipitor, Zocor, Crestor etc.) and he said "I don't have time to read it." My respect for him dropped to near zero. Do you research the medication your doctor prescribes for you, or just take it without question? High cholesterol is not a disease. My father has horrible anxiety and depression to the point he's had suicidal thoughts. His doctor has him on Zocor (blood pressure), Valium (anxiety), and all of Seroquel/Anafranil/Lamictal for his depression and some anxiety. I was admitted into the hospital a few months back because severe muscle cramps in my leg and black outs. After several days in the hospital the doctors finally figured out that I had renal failure caused by the ZOCOR medicine I was on. Is it worth pursuing a lawsuit?? I have been having various physical problems lately and not feeling well. I take a medley of medications all of which have a purpose and I believe to be affective. My question is whether this combination of meds has any interactions and what should I expect as side affects. Here is what I take. Klonipin (for anxiety) Seroquel (for bipolar and anxiety) Started Lithium 2 weeks ago, very low dosage Zocor (For cholesteral) Diltiazam (For Migraine pevention) Prilosec (for heartburn)
