Voting Question: Will the sleepy effects of Zolpidem still work if you dissolve it in water or some drink?
(Sun, 01 Nov 2009 22:33:38 GMT)
I have this weird issue with pills, no matter how small, that i kind of gag when i try and swallow them, even with water. I dissolved a zolpidem in water to help me sleep and it turned bright green and tasted weird, and i was wondering if i could use it in like root beer or dr. pepper, and if whatever is in root beer or dr. pepper would counter-act the stuff in zolpidem (if it was fully dissolved)?

Resolved Question: I've just been put on the generic Ambien (Zolpidem Tartrate) 5mg. What can I expect?
(Sat, 19 Sep 2009 19:45:01 GMT)

I read the pamphlet and spoke to my doctor but I want to know from fellow users what can I expect?

The only treatment I know of is still in clinical trials- Zolpidem or Ambien (the sleeping pill). We will be attempting this trial next month, but if it doesn't work what else can we do or try? I have been doing as much research as I can think of. I am desperate. Please help if you know. Anything is appreciated.

Resolved Question: Which benzodiazepine has a greater risk of abuse - alprazolam or zolpidem?
(Mon, 27 Jul 2009 09:41:38 GMT)
Alprazolam (Xanax) is a relatively short-acting benzo used for anxiety and panic disorder. It tends to be merely sedating. Zolpidem (Ambien) is a much shorter acting benzodiazepine-like drug used for insomnia. It is sedating, but also tends to be (in my experience) substantially more disinhibiting and causes memory impairment. Which of these two medications has been shown to be more liable to be abused? Which has a greater detrimental impact to the patient when abused?

Resolved Question: Ambien/Stilnox/Zolpidem users: Has anyone experienced severe headaches during Ambien/Stilnox withdrawal?
(Thu, 23 Jul 2009 13:04:27 GMT)
I've been using Stilnox fairly frequently (a few weeks off here and there) for more than two years. Two days ago I abruptly stopped using Stilnox, and have been hit by very severe headaches. During the day, I'll have a dull ache in my temples, that gradually gets worse and worse as the day progresses. Has anyone else experienced this? How long until it goes away? It's wretched, I'm photosensitive and irritable from these headaches.. Any help would be appreciated.
