Nexium Multiple Fractures Causes and Reviews

Vitamins are substances that your body needs to grow and develop normally. Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium. Calcium is one of the main building blocks of bone. A lack of vitamin D can lead to bone diseases such as osteoporosis or rickets. Vitamin D also has a role in your nerve, muscle, and immune systems.

You can get vitamin D in three ways: through your skin, from your diet, and from supplements. Your body forms vitamin D naturally after exposure to sunlight. However, too much sun exposure can lead to skin aging and skin cancer. So many people try to get their vitamin D from other sources.

Vitamin D-rich foods include egg yolks, saltwater fish, and liver. Some other foods, like milk and cereal, often have added vitamin D.

You can also take vitamin D supplements. Check with your health care provider to see how much you should take. People who might need extra vitamin D include

  • Older adults
  • Breastfed infants
  • People with dark skin
  • People with certain conditions, such as liver diseases, cystic fibrosis and Crohn's disease
  • People who have obesity or have had gastric bypass surgery

does anyone have abdominal pain from long term Nexium use?

Sun, 03 Apr 2011

i have been taking Nexium for 6 years now. I have had abdominal swellness, nausea, and dizziness for about 6 months now. Could it be the Nexium?

Fri, 06 Apr 2012

My uncle switched to a new heartburn medicine so gave me 16 of his remaining Nexium pills (which I also take and have taken for a long time).

After my current prescription ran out I just now took one of his left over pills and am having these symptoms (burning sensation in mouth, tongue, and throat).  What gives?   I've never had this experience with Nexium before.

They are the exact same Nexium pills that I take and the prescription was filled last month.  We use different pharmacies.

The only thing I can think is the Nexium came out of the capsule or maybe the desiccant in the container got on it.  With my uncle's obsessions he'll count pills multiple times to make sure he has as many as he should, so he may have split the coating open on one.  I examined the remaining pills and they all seem intact.

I swallowed the pill whole, and within seconds after I had the burning in my throat and mouth.   Weird.  Not sure if I should take the remaining pills.  I guess I'll try another again tomorrow and see what happens.  If the same thing, I'll just get my own Nexium prescription refilled.

My uncle isn't the cleanest guy in the world, so who knows what he himself may have gotten on these pills while handling.  I've wiped down the remaining capsules. LOL

I had been taking Nexium for two years and when I had tests in hospital they found that my liver count was 999 where it should only be 41. They took me off it straight away and within two days it had dropped to half and after seven days with no Nexium I was down to 110. I am now down to 19. Problem is I. am still suffering with indigestion and very white thick saliva

Sun, 07 Feb 2010

Hi! Some years ago I took Nexium for v. severe gerd, with haemorrhage.
From the time I started it, suddenly my gastric system was totally upset, where it hadn't previously.
Because I wasn't digesting properly, my immune system was affected, and have since developed numerous food allergies.
I could eat anything before!!
I couldn't take any pharm. drugs due to the allergy problem-even those I'd taken with impunity years earlier.
I've found that a preventitive diet, and 'stomacin u', a sublingual spray used daily, keeps me gastrically well! Stomacin u is made from cabbage juice only, puts a protective mucin lining on the gut, preventing erosion pain. It really works for me!!

Wed, 25 Apr 2012

I only took one Nexium when my mouth became extremely sensitive, then within hours a hot red rash lined my inside of mouth and throat,  making it very hard to swallow.  I assume I had a severe reaction....yet I can take Somac without any known side effects!

Fri, 20 Apr 2012

i have h.polry and the doctor put me in 2 antibaotic for 7 days plus iNexium my dairhea start in the fourth day and now its been for 9 days every morning got watery dairhea with some pain in my stomach and its burning as hell every morning im going to back to my doctor and see whats going on cuz im suppose to take iNexium for 30 more days !!!

Sat, 07 Jan 2012

Nxium HP7 failed to eradicate H.PYlori - broke out in hives and welts - 6 weeks later, still suffering the effects of hives.

Why do Doctors differ on their understanding re HP?? "Contagious. Not contagious. Caught from mother's milk." One doctor has since told me (based on his own personal experience) - "it's easily treated as a teenager, a waste of time, and too many side effects, trying to treat it in adults!"
