This case suggests a potential Orthomol Product Nos Basal Cell Carcinoma side effect(s) that can have serious consequences. A 83-year-old patient from SWITZERLAND (weight:NA) was diagnosed with the following health condition(s): NA and used Orthomol Product Nos (dosage: NA) starting Aug 20, 2008. Soon after starting Orthomol Product Nos the patient began experiencing various side effects, including:
  • Basal Cell Carcinoma
Drugs used concurrently:
  • Lucentis (Unk)
  • Vitalux
  • The patient was hospitalized. Although Orthomol Product Nos demonstrated significant improvements in a number of clinically relevant cases, troublesome symptoms, such as Basal Cell Carcinoma, may still occur.

    Adverse event was reported on Apr 10, 2012 by a Female taking Orthomol (Dosage: 0.5 [mg/d ]) was diagnosed with and. Location: GERMANY , weighting 160.9 lb, Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Orthomol side effects: stillbirth, maternal exposure during pregnancy, cholestasis, influenza like illness.
    Associated medications used:
    • Azathioprine (150 [mg/d ]/ Since June 2010. Probably Taken Until Delivery.)
    • Atarax (37.5 [mg/d ]/ Probably Taken Until Delivery. Dosage Was Elevated From 25 To 37.5 Mg/d On October, 12)
    • Prednisone

    Premature Baby, Pierre Robin Syndrome, Cleft Palate

    This Cleft Palate problem was reported by a physician from GERMANY. A female patient (weight: NA) was diagnosed with the following medical condition(s): prophylaxis of neural tube defect,depression,pre-eclampsia.On Jun 01, 2009 a consumer started treatment with Orthomol Natal (dosage: 0.4 Mg/d). The following health products were being taken at the same time:
  • Insidon (100 Mg/d Taken Until Gw 10)
  • Presinol
  • Seroquel
  • Citalopram (40 Mg/d Taken Until Gw 10)
  • Valdoxan (25 Mg/d)
  • Actrapid
  • When commencing Orthomol Natal, the patient experienced the following unwanted symptoms /side effects:
    • Premature Baby
    • Pierre Robin Syndrome
    • Cleft Palate
    The patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Although all health products are carefully tested before they are licensed for use, they carry potential side effect risks. Some side effects, such as Cleft Palate, may become evident only after a product is in use by the general population.

    A case of a female patient (weight: NA) from GERMANY was presented. The patient developed the following symptoms/conditions: prophylaxis of neural tube defect,inflammatory bowel disease,pruritus and was treated with Orthomol (dosage: 0.5 [mg/d ]) starting Apr 15, 2011. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Azathioprine (150 [mg/d ]/ Since June 2010. Probably Taken Until Delivery.)
  • Atarax (37.5 [mg/d ]/ Probably Taken Until Delivery. Dosage Was Elevated From 25 To 37.5 Mg/d On October, 12)
  • Prednisone
  • Soon after that, the subject experienced the following of symptoms:
    • Stillbirth
    • Maternal Exposure During Pregnancy
    • Cholestasis
    • Influenza Like Illness
    This opens a possibility that Orthomol could cause Influenza Like Illness and that some female subjects may be more susceptible.
