Oxygen Haemoglobin Decreased Side Effect Reports

The following Oxygen Haemoglobin Decreased side effect reports were submitted by healthcare professionals and consumers.

This information will help you understand how side effects, such as Haemoglobin Decreased, can occur, and what you can do about them.

A side effect could appear soon after you start Oxygen or it might take time to develop.

Bronchial Carcinoma, Second Primary Malignancy, Haemoglobin Decreased, Neoplasm Malignant, Metastases To Liver

This Haemoglobin Decreased side effect was reported by a health professional from SE. A 67-year-old female patient (weight:NA) experienced the following symptoms/conditions: NA. The patient was prescribed Oxygen (dosage: NA), which was started on NS. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Aromasin (exemestane)
When starting to take Oxygen the consumer reported the following symptoms:
  • Bronchial Carcinoma
  • Second Primary Malignancy
  • Haemoglobin Decreased
  • Neoplasm Malignant
  • Metastases To Liver
The patient was hospitalized. These side effects may potentially be related to Oxygen.
Alanine Aminotransferase Increased, Haemoglobin Decreased, Muscle Atrophy, Aspartate Aminotransferase Increased, Gamma-glutamyltransferase Increased, Neuropathy Peripheral

This Haemoglobin Decreased Oxygen (oxygen) side effect was reported by a pharmacist from GERMANY on Jul 18, 2011. A male , 63 years of age, was treated with Oxygen (oxygen). The patient presented the following health conditions:
  • Alanine Aminotransferase Increased
  • Haemoglobin Decreased
  • Muscle Atrophy
  • Aspartate Aminotransferase Increased
  • Gamma-glutamyltransferase Increased
  • Neuropathy Peripheral
. Oxygen (oxygen) dosage: NA. Additional drugs used at the same time:
  • Roflumilast (roflumilast) (500 Microgram, Tablets) (Oral)
  • Prednisolone (40 Mg, Oral)
  • Onbrez (indacaterol)
  • Spiriva
  • Roflumilast (roflumilast) (500 Microgram, Tablets) (Oral)
The patient was hospitalized.
Asthenia, Diarrhoea, Gamma-glutamyltransferase Increased, Haemoglobin Decreased, Demyelination, Myopathy, Muscle Atrophy, Aspartate Aminotransferase Increased, Depression

This is a Oxygen (oxygen) (oxygen) side effect report of a 63-year-old patient (weight:NA) from GERMANY, suffering from the following symptoms/conditions: NA, who was treated with Oxygen (oxygen) (oxygen) (dosage:NA, start time: NS), combined with:
  • Roflumilast (roflumilast) (500 Microgram, Tablets) (Oral)
  • Roflumilast (roflumilast) (500 Microgram, Tablets) (Oral)
  • Onbrez (indacaterol) (indacaterol)
  • Prednisolone
  • Spiriva (tiotropium Bromide) (tiotropium Bromide)
, and developed a serious reaction and a Haemoglobin Decreased side effect. The patient presented with:
  • Asthenia
  • Diarrhoea
  • Gamma-glutamyltransferase Increased
  • Haemoglobin Decreased
  • Demyelination
  • Myopathy
  • Muscle Atrophy
  • Aspartate Aminotransferase Increased
  • Depression
which developed after the beginning of treatment. The patient was hospitalized. This side effect report can indicate a possible existence of increased vulnerability to Oxygen (oxygen) (oxygen) treatment in patients suffering from NA, resulting in Haemoglobin Decreased.

Alanine Aminotransferase Increased, Blood Pressure Decreased, Liver Function Test Abnormal, Respiratory Failure, Haemoglobin Decreased, Platelet Count Decreased, Mechanical Ventilation, White Blood Cell Count Decreased, Platelet Transfusion

A patient (weight: NA) from JAPAN with the following symptoms: NA started Oxygen treatment (dosage: NA) on Apr 01, 2010. Soon after starting Oxygen treatment, the consumer experienced several side effects, including:
  • Alanine Aminotransferase Increased
  • Blood Pressure Decreased
  • Liver Function Test Abnormal
  • Respiratory Failure
  • Haemoglobin Decreased
  • Platelet Count Decreased
  • Mechanical Ventilation
  • White Blood Cell Count Decreased
  • Platelet Transfusion
. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Beraprost Sodium
  • Sildenafil Citrate
  • Cytarabine (Unk)
  • Tracleer (62.5 Mg, Bid)
The patient was hospitalized. This finding indicates that some patients can be more vulnerable to developing Oxygen side effects, such as Haemoglobin Decreased.

I am using home Oxygen levels between 1 and 2. I am having bad headaches, stomach pains, and leg pains. When I am not using the Oxygen I dont have the horrible headaches. Once I use the oxgyen again i have the headaches. I feel as if I dont need the Oxygen. Everytime I go to the doctor for check ups my levels are low between 78 and 84. Is there any that I should do or tell my doctor.

I have a friend that has currently been treated with steriods and is on Oxygen 24/7 and her gums appear sunburn and are peeling is this a side affect of the O2?

Sun, 13 May 2012

My husband has been on Oxygen for the last 21 months, and soon after, began getting a raspy voice, and it seemed hard for him to talk and breath. He only uses it at night. Recently he had to be hospitalized, and while there his normal sounding voice came back ( he was on Oxygen there as well 24/7). After being home for 5 days, he lost his voice, and it is slowly coming back a little bit. The Dr.s' have no clue, even though they both know he is still on the Oxygen. My husband has been told that he really doesn't need the Oxygen anymore, but he chooses to remain on it at night. He has recently been using a bottle filled with water that is hooked inline on the concentrator.

While using Oxygen (24/7) during the past six weeks I have become hoarse. I've now ceased the Oxygen therapy but my hoarseness persists. Is this normal or how long should I expect it to continue?
