Oxygen Oxygen Saturation Decreased Side Effect Reports

The following Oxygen Oxygen Saturation Decreased side effect reports were submitted by healthcare professionals and consumers.

This information will help you understand how side effects, such as Oxygen Saturation Decreased, can occur, and what you can do about them.

A side effect could appear soon after you start Oxygen or it might take time to develop.

Procedural Complication, Thermal Burn, Injury, Respiratory Fume Inhalation Disorder, Haemodynamic Instability, Oxygen Saturation Decreased, Blood Pressure Systolic Decreased

This Oxygen Saturation Decreased side effect was reported by a consumer or non-health professional from FR. A 65-year-old female patient (weight:NA) experienced the following symptoms/conditions: maxillofacial operation. The patient was prescribed Oxygen (dosage: 30% Total Respiratory), which was started on NS. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Polyvidone
When starting to take Oxygen the consumer reported the following symptoms:
  • Procedural Complication
  • Thermal Burn
  • Injury
  • Respiratory Fume Inhalation Disorder
  • Haemodynamic Instability
  • Oxygen Saturation Decreased
  • Blood Pressure Systolic Decreased
The patient was hospitalized. These side effects may potentially be related to Oxygen.
Oxygen Saturation Decreased, Limb Discomfort, Injection Site Haematoma, Nausea, Pneumonia, Injection Site Pain, Bronchitis, Injection Site Erythema, Headache

This Oxygen Saturation Decreased Oxygen side effect was reported by a physician from UNITED STATES on Apr 18, 2012. A Female , weighting 217.8 lb, was diagnosed with and was treated with Oxygen. The patient presented the following health conditions:

  • Limb Discomfort
  • Injection Site Haematoma
  • Nausea
  • Pneumonia
  • Injection Site Pain
  • Bronchitis
  • Injection Site Erythema
  • Headache
. Oxygen dosage: Unk, Each Evening. Additional drugs used at the same time:
  • Forteo (20 Ug, Daily (1/d))
  • Forteo (20 Ug, Daily (1/d))
The patient was hospitalized.
Fatigue, Lethargy, Oedema, Motor Dysfunction, Malaise, Middle Insomnia, Syncope, Dyspnoea, Oxygen Saturation Decreased

This is a Oxygen (oxygen) side effect report of a 54-year-old patient (weight:NA) from UNITED STATES, suffering from the following symptoms/conditions: NA, who was treated with Oxygen (oxygen) (dosage:NA, start time: Jul 06, 2011), combined with:
  • Diuretics (diuretics)
  • Tyvaso (72 Mcg (18 Mcg, 4 In 1 D), Inhalation 120 Mcg (30 Mcg, 4 In 1 D), Inhalation)
  • Tyvaso (72 Mcg (18 Mcg, 4 In 1 D), Inhalation 120 Mcg (30 Mcg, 4 In 1 D), Inhalation)
  • Tyvaso (72 Mcg (18 Mcg, 4 In 1 D), Inhalation 120 Mcg (30 Mcg, 4 In 1 D), Inhalation)
  • Tyvaso (72 Mcg (18 Mcg, 4 In 1 D), Inhalation 120 Mcg (30 Mcg, 4 In 1 D), Inhalation)
, and developed a serious reaction and a Oxygen Saturation Decreased side effect. The patient presented with:
  • Fatigue
  • Lethargy
  • Oedema
  • Motor Dysfunction
  • Malaise
  • Middle Insomnia
  • Syncope
  • Dyspnoea
  • Oxygen Saturation Decreased
which developed after the beginning of treatment. The patient was hospitalized. This side effect report can indicate a possible existence of increased vulnerability to Oxygen (oxygen) treatment in patients suffering from NA, resulting in Oxygen Saturation Decreased.

Oxygen Saturation Decreased

A 68-year-old female patient (weight: NA) from UNITED STATES with the following symptoms: NA started Oxygen (oxygen) treatment (dosage: NA) on Sep 09, 2011. Soon after starting Oxygen (oxygen) treatment, the consumer experienced several side effects, including:
  • Oxygen Saturation Decreased
. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Xolair
  • Tyvaso (96 Mcg (24 Mcg,4 In 1 D),inhalation)
The patient was hospitalized. This finding indicates that some patients can be more vulnerable to developing Oxygen (oxygen) side effects, such as Oxygen Saturation Decreased.
Dyspnoea, Blood Glucose Fluctuation, Blood Glucose Decreased, Oxygen Saturation Decreased, Loss Of Consciousness, Memory Impairment, Diarrhoea, Oxygen Consumption Increased, Pyrexia

A female patient from UNITED STATES was prescribed and started Oxygen on Feb 17, 2012. Once I use the oxgyen again i have the headaches. I feel as if I dont need the Oxygen. Everytime I go to the doctor for check ups my levels are low between 78 and 84. Is there any that I should do or tell my doctor.

I have a friend that has currently been treated with steriods and is on Oxygen 24/7 and her gums appear sunburn and are peeling is this a side affect of the O2?

Sun, 13 May 2012

My husband has been on Oxygen for the last 21 months, and soon after, began getting a raspy voice, and it seemed hard for him to talk and breath. He only uses it at night. Recently he had to be hospitalized, and while there his normal sounding voice came back ( he was on Oxygen there as well 24/7). After being home for 5 days, he lost his voice, and it is slowly coming back a little bit. The Dr.s' have no clue, even though they both know he is still on the Oxygen. My husband has been told that he really doesn't need the Oxygen anymore, but he chooses to remain on it at night. He has recently been using a bottle filled with water that is hooked inline on the concentrator.

While using Oxygen (24/7) during the past six weeks I have become hoarse. I've now ceased the Oxygen therapy but my hoarseness persists. Is this normal or how long should I expect it to continue?
