This case suggests a potential Prometax Aggression side effect(s) that can have serious consequences. A 56-year-old female patient from PORTUGAL (weight:NA) was diagnosed with the following health condition(s): dementia and used Prometax (dosage: 3 Mg, Unk) starting Jan 01, 2007. Soon after starting Prometax the patient began experiencing various side effects, including:
  • Aggression
  • Flight Of Ideas
  • Inappropriate Affect
  • Insomnia
  • Mania
  • Speech Disorder
Drugs used concurrently:
  • Alprazolam (6 Mg, Qd)
  • Sinemet
  • Venlafaxine Hcl (150 Mg, Qd)
  • Selegiline Hydrochloride
  • The patient was hospitalized. Although Prometax demonstrated significant improvements in a number of clinically relevant cases, troublesome symptoms, such as Aggression, may still occur.

    Adverse event was reported on Mar 15, 2007 by a Female taking Prometax (Dosage: 6 Mg/d) . Location: PORTUGAL , 82 years of age, Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Prometax side effects: bradycardia, loss of consciousness.
    Associated medications used:
    • Donepezil Hcl
    • Lorazepam
    • Tocopheryl Acetate
    • Sertraline
    The patient was hospitalized and became disabled.

    Hypernatraemia, Disorientation, Muscular Weakness, Vomiting, Fatigue

    This Disorientation problem was reported by a physician from PT. A 80-year-old patient (weight: NA) was diagnosed with the following medical condition(s): dementia alzheimer^s type.On NS a consumer started treatment with Prometax (dosage: 4.6 Mg/24 Hour). The following health products were being taken at the same time:
  • Domperidone
  • Memantine
  • When commencing Prometax, the patient experienced the following unwanted symptoms /side effects:
    • Hypernatraemia
    • Disorientation
    • Muscular Weakness
    • Vomiting
    • Fatigue
    The patient was hospitalized. Although all health products are carefully tested before they are licensed for use, they carry potential side effect risks. Some side effects, such as Disorientation, may become evident only after a product is in use by the general population.

    A case of a 80-year-old patient (weight: NA) from PT was presented. The patient developed the following symptoms/conditions: dementia alzheimer^s type and was treated with Prometax (dosage: 4.6 Mg/24 Hour) starting NS. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Domperidone
  • Memantine
  • Soon after that, the subject experienced the following of symptoms:
    • Hypernatraemia
    • Disorientation
    • Muscular Weakness
    • Vomiting
    • Fatigue
    The patient was hospitalized. This opens a possibility that Prometax could cause Fatigue and that some subjects may be more susceptible.

    on Jul 27, 2007 a Female from PORTUGAL , 56 years of age, was diagnosed with and was treated with Prometax. Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Prometax side effects: aggression, flight of ideas, inappropriate affect, insomnia, mania, speech disorder. Prometax dosage: 3 Mg, Unk.
    Associated medications used:
    • Alprazolam (6 Mg, Qd)
    • Sinemet
    • Venlafaxine Hcl (150 Mg, Qd)
    • Selegiline Hydrochloride
    The patient was hospitalized.
