Shock happens when not enough blood and oxygen can get to your organs and tissues. It causes very low blood pressure and may be life threatening. It often happens along with a serious injury.

Causes include internal or external bleeding, dehydration, burns, and severe vomiting and/or diarrhea. Septic shock is caused by infections in the bloodstream. A severe allergic reaction can cause anaphylactic shock. An insect bite or sting might cause it. Cardiogenic shock happens when the heart cannot pump blood effectively. This may happen after a heart attack. Neurogenic shock is caused by damage to the nervous system.

Symptoms of shock include

  • Confusion or lack of alertness
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Sudden and ongoing rapid heartbeat
  • Sweating
  • Pale skin

Propranolol Cardiogenic Shock Reviews

Thu, 05 Aug 2010

I have been taking 80mg per day for anxiety for two years with no side effects. Three weeks ago my doctor increased my dose to 120mg. After two weeks of being on the higher dose I started to experience head tremors. I went to my doctor who seemed to think the tremors were caused by anxiety so he increased my dose to 160mg, the tremors got a lot worse after a couple of days. I have now decreaed my dose back to 80mg per day for the last week, the symptons have decreased but I am still having some problems. I wanted to know if anyone else have experienced these symptons and if I,m ever going to go back to normal.
